The Man wants to win now!!! I say go for it, hes still trying to build depth in this recruiting class as well. We need the help for sure on the O-Line!!

I'd say it's more about fielding a competitive team next year. Pretty sure we have a team full of conference USA standouts.

Cordarelle Patterson dropped too many open passes. We need WR's with his height and speed who can catch the ball.

I mean I'm all for hands and height, but anyone who don't want another CP is either blind, stupid or never watched this kid play at UT.

Bill Clark loaded up with over 40 JUCO’s at UAB and went 8-4 with a bowl birth with a team in its first year after being non-existent for two years.

And Chuck Smith and Chris Mims and Dave Thomas. Coach Majors is still around to help too! Just sayin.

Charlie Garner. Reporters asked Charlie "why are you signing with Tennessee who already have 2 great freshman running backs in Little Man Stewart and Aaron Hayden?" Charlie said "I will be ok. I know what I can do." One of the best vol backs ever - maybe the best breakaway runner.

One reason I initially liked Dan Mullen is that he had inroads with Mississippi junior colleges. Maybe Pruitt and his team can do the same thing. Vols need help desperately. Bring in some JUCO walkons. Turn the roster over ASAP.

If the JUCO player is not good enough to start immediately then it is a bad choice. We need Charlie Garner Chuck Smith & Dale Carter type players and not Jeff George type of JUCO players

We are behind on many recruits with the coaching change and earl6 signing a couple weeks away. It would be better to fill the holes with JUCO talent even if just for a couple years while the staff starts recruiting for next year which is when we can stock up for the future,

I’m not as concerned about previous JUCO busts because the last staff could have gotten their transfers from the Green Bay Packers and they still would have flopped under their development

I understand busts happen, but Dontavius Blair was as sure-fire as you can get and he amounted to a hill of beans while at UT!

it's a numbers game. we don't have them in spots, DL, CB and OL. and we need help there immediately, and 3 years from now.

going the Juco route in year 1 hopefully fills some holes now, and allows you to recruit the future at the same time. it also buys you some time on evaluating and developing some of the younger FR and SO currently on the roster that you simply may not know enough about yet.

we weren't a great rotating team in the first place. you bring these kind of guys in, you at least give yourself a shot at creating a rotation of players, and speeding up the development (or at least keeping up with it at a normal pace) across the board.

judging from how many offers they've already made for the 19 class, i think it's safe to say we probably won't see that many Juco offers going forward.

Wonder what this is? Some hints at Cade Mays?

We need more help on the OL than any other team in college football. I would love to see us get 2 or 3 good ol-linemen.

Signing a JUCO is exactly like signing a high school recruit. The only difference is that they may not have as much eligibility. JUCO years count the same as red shirt years. Junior Colleges are not NCAA schools, so they do not count towards NCAA eligibility. If you go straight from High School to JUCO, you can have 4 years of eligibility in the NCAA after leaving JUCO.

As said above this is a have to situation for many of our spots needing filled. Only way we can possibly be competitive next year.

No JUCO years do count. Prep school does not. If they play both years at JUCO, they have 3 years to play 2. If they redshirt in JUCO they can have 3 years to play 3.
