I am worried re: QB's

Nobody needs to lay an egg for UT to get 6 wins. 3 OOC cupcakes, Vandy, KY and then Mizzou at HOME. That is six right there. Before anyone questions the Mizzou outcome, no way in hell Vols should be considered the underdog at home to a team with far less talent, period. There are six wins on this schedule, maybe 7.
And it will not be overachieving either. Hell, UT could start a WR at QB ala KY a few years ago and if these coaches are worth their salt UT would win their share of games.

Utah State is not a "cupcake" (vols may be favored but wrong to call them a "cupcake").

Mizzu won the east last year - TN hasn't been to a bowl game in over 3 years. Doesn't seem like we are in a position to count the Mizzu game as an automatic win the the category of UK????

This is a very difficult schedule and anyone that doesn't concede that has an agenda.

6 wins should be the goal - but those 6 wins will not be as easy to come by as you are demanding. It will be widely considered a very good coaching job to get 7 wins out of this roster against this schedule.

Utah State has no business beating UT at Neyland unless the coaches get out coached. Period. They have half the talent of UT, probably not a 4 star on the entire roster and few three stars either. Mizzou had a dream season last year, good for them. Gone are many of the leaders of that team and tbh, they still have much less talent than UT, and should never be considered a favorite at Neyland, even if they had slightly more talent, which they do not. again, it would take the coaches getting out coached to lose that game. When you see the likes of Ga. So. go into the swamp with those two star kids and get a victory it reminds you that coaching is ohhh so important and given just enough talent, a good staff can accomplish much. Mizzou favored at Neyland? No, and not close.

Agree with all of this. Good job. USU should not come within 14 points of us at home. Mizzou has lost neatly every offensive weapon from last year and their main defensive weapon. Neither team is as talented as UT.

I doubt they are just telling people what they want to hear. Their not saying he is going to be the best qb in the conference just that he looks better than were he was at this time last year. Then again you might be right they only get to see the whole practice and have played before.

yep, and they saw ferguson and told everyone he was the next tom brady. but hey, they do get to see the whole practice. you're right!

I think UT was the ONLY SEC team to offer him a scholarship. He's a decent runner, but a very inconsistent passer. His accuracy needs to be improved before he's ready to be a full time starter.

so we don't want the guy who had the highest completion percentage last year. instead, we want someone who is slower and completes less passes? riiiiight on!

Yeah. Never use context. It just confuses issues....

Worley played with the O when most of the guys had no idea what they were doing. The WR's to a man stank out loud for the first 4-5 games of the season.

Worley also happens to be the guy that led UT to their best two performances just before he had an injury... USCe/UGA.

And he also got to play Austin Peay, WKU and South Alabama to pad his stats, his stats that still look bad. Like you said, context.

gonna take a stab and say not much arm strength or confidence in his arm and failure to anticipate throws. the anticipation part is obvious if you really watch him. this and running is why Dobbs is the much better choice. there's really nothing new worley can do for UT.

Worley the girly arm.
