Just going by the information spread on here.
Tennessee leads for both of these kids.

And there’s no clouds or pending investigations standing in the way.

I think Sanders has a more extended timeline though. Lagonza is probably committing soon.

But man, if Sanders would go ahead and pop for Tennessee, that could really provide momentum with some others.

Tennessee will look to add another safety or two in this class. Shady Hayward is the obvious choice for one spot but he also could grow into a linebacker. Alabama safety Tim Merritt and North Carolina safety Jordan Young are also viable options who will visit.

I honestly loved it when Chief used to take running backs and larger safeties, and bulked them up to LB.

Same. Kevin Burnett is a great example. So was Al Wilson, who was a RB/S in high school. He also used to convert RBs to LB with a lot of success....George Kidd, Jesse Sanders, Dominique Stevenson (who would've become a stud had he stayed out of trouble), Eric Westmoreland, and Eddie Moore all come to mind.

Find guys who have average athleticism for their position, bulk them up, and move them to a spot where their athleticism is elite. It's a great formula.

That’s the point. He played a different position in highschool. We knew we were going to convert him to LB.

George Kidd graduated with my sister if I remember correctly. I could be wrong. 1992 was a long time ago. Cool dude even if he did go to Milan. Al Wilson trucked me when I was a freshman. I decided after that I should go back to baseball.

His recruitment process definitely has a lot a layers. Hopefully we can get past a few more hurdles in this recruitment.

Tennessee continues to pace the way and make a very strong impression on Shaedy Hayward, but the four-star maintains a decision timeline of June. South Carolina and Florida State are two schools that continue to prioritize him, and he plans to visit Alabama in June as well.
