Lagonza “Shaedy” Hayward is one that Tennessee likes a lot at the safety position. The four-star from Georgia has three official visits set for June, including USC (June 7th), Alabama (June 14th), and Tennessee (June 21st). Georgia recently entered the picture with an offer, too, and could end up being a serious contender down the stretch, but in our estimation, the Vols have positioned themselves well in this recruitment early on.

After an in-person offer in November, Hayward has continued to feel the love from Tennessee and Tim Banks. He likes the culture around the program as well as the multiple ways he could be used in the Vols secondary.

Shaedy Hayward will be in town this weekend, and Tennessee built some momentum with the four-star over the winter. He has a strong bond with Tim Banks and defensive analyst Danny O’Rourke, and the Vols will look to build more momentum this weekend. He is excited to watch how Tennessee practices and develops their defensive backs.

Tennessee continues to show well in the recruitment of Lagonza “Shaedy” Hayward. The Vols impressed again last week and will look to carry that momentum over into summertime official visits. Florida State remains a team to watch, while Alabama is swinging away here as well. We are continuing to watch and see if Georgia becomes more involved. Hayward’s bond with Tim Banks and several others on the staff has put the Vols in a good spot coming out of March.
