Wouldn't say way out. We're 15th, but by our player average we are ahead of 7 of the 14 ahead of us. Plus we are at 16 committs, only Ala and Clemson have 16 or fewer along with us. Getting these 3 will jump us into the top 5-7 I believe.

Take all the player’s individual rating like for instance 91.45 player commits the class average would be 91.45 with just that commitment. Another guy commits that’s rated 94.50 then your class average is 92.98 with those two commitments etc

On average you’d love to have at least a 90.00 average rating per class as a baseline to at least compete reasonably for a national championship

Not sure but I think On3 and 247 use a similar method to Rivals when evaluating classes. Rivals only counts the top 20 commits when ranking classes.

So if you believe in "stars" and care about their ranking... each guy like Bates who commits takes the former #20 player out of the calculation.
