It was definitely a well managed pond for a crappie to get anywhere close to that size. I’m guessing the pond has plenty of big bass to keep the crappie population in check.

I have a pond I fish here in Georgia. I was there when they first stocked it, and them babies grow, and pretty much took over.

So above the weir dam? I do most of my fishing in the pool. Mostly I fly fish, I just enjoy it more than gear for trout, but fly casting is tough if there's much wind so I always pack a spinning rod as well.
