Stars matter a lot more when you have coaches that can coach. We could have given Dooley a roster of five stars and he would find a way to lose. Now we have coaches that appear plenty capable of developing talent, and so landing those four and five stars means a lot more. However, I still...

Coaches don't want to run him more than necessary based on our lack of healthy QBs. 30-40 would be the max on maybe 7-8 carries. However, word is that they've practiced the read-option with Dobbs, Neal, and Lane all in the backfield together, so expect new wrinkles.

ESPN doesn't rank them, but they did release a list of their top 30 JUCOs last year. No telling if it'll happen again though.

We'll have to force a couple and eliminate our own to have a shot to hang with what is a much faster team.

To be fair, I imagine both defenses will look porous in that game. The pace suggests big scores. We'll try pounding the football and Oregon will stay fast strike. We will lose, but I think our offense shows life in using the run and efficient short passes.

He was weighing in at about 170. He was fast, but very light. Now at 185 he looks better built and the coaches have been pleased.

Being four hours away from Charlotte doesn't help when claiming a hardship. If things do turn out well he could contribute based on reports from camp.

He is with the team and has impressed the coaches. His availability for this year is still up in the air. My guess is the coaches have him practicing like he'll play but aren't planning on it.

Couch wasn't really able to participate in the spring. He's basically in the same boat as Maggitt in that the coaches hadn't seen much from him. He'll likely be the other starter. However, Hood has impressed the coaches and will play plenty.

They were thinking $500,000+ for a couple of butt whippings for their least productive sport. It keeps the athletic department going.

That did clear the way for Greg Tisho to join camp. He's a preferred walk-om tight end from Cherokee, NC. 6-3, 232.

He is a Vol still. He has shown flashes but not consistency. He should play some this season, but he has some developing to do.

Vickers isn't enrolled and may have not signed his LOI yet. That's what I saw yesterday anyway. That's why the other two who have yet to enroll (Jenkins, Ferguson) have numbers and Vickers doesn't.
