Nah, either of them would be better than Pastner. Pastner doesn't have a buyout, in the strict sense, Memphis must pay his entire contract. 2.6 mill. per year for the next 4 years.

Terribly huge buyout. A change has got to be made, but that probably means Memphis isn't paying the big buyout of another big coach to come in next season. Maybe Forbes at ETSU or McCall at UTC.

UW will most likely be hiring internally, I'd guess. Gard has worked with Ryan for like 20 years, and is always all over those "top 10 asst. coach" lists put out by different news outlets. UW may already have their man.

Same from the Memphis side. UL isn't much of a rivalry game anymore. UConn, SMU, Ole Miss and UTK when we start playing again. Pretty uninspiring rivalries.

I think it's pretty funny that Memphis would block UT. I also think it's funny when Spurrier makes fun of Dabo, or coaches deny waiver for players to transfer to Michigan because of Harbaugh. No real reason for it and people get really bent out of shape about it, but that's why it's funny.

I'm sorry you're embarrassed. I like UT, know several of the players and a lot of people in the AD/Thornton center and appreciate UT's basketball program immensely (especially under Barnes). There is nothing for you to be embarrassed about.
