Longtime cornerbacks coach left to be reunited with practically half of Croom's staff at Auburn. He wasn't the Alexanders' lead recruiter though. That is Tim Brewster. Hired Deshea Townsend two weeks ago as the new CB coach. I imagine this plays fairly well with DB recruits! :)

He and Mackenro are taking their OV @ MSU that weekend...

'13 TN ATH Jalen Ramsey (Former USCw, now FSU commit)

Our side is hearing it's strictly a UF/USC battle now. Losing our CB coach Melvin Smith to Auburn took us out of the race. He's the one the parents were primarily connected to...

'13 TN ATH Jalen Ramsey (Former USCw, now FSU commit)

Yes they do. Same rules apply to the entire NCAA now. Once the SEC adopted them, so did everyone else. Some conferences take it a step further though(B1G stops teams from signing any number above 85, etc)

'13 TN ATH Jalen Ramsey (Former USCw, now FSU commit)

Exactly... and important to note it's a "rolling backcount" as well... so it isn't quite as simple as just looking at the previous year. Next year, a hard limit of 28 goes into effect with the entire NCAA on top of the existing rule. So, all "available scholarships" not used this year will...

Mackenro is very comparable to Denzel Nkemdiche coming out IMO... A S/LB tweener that is rumored to have some grade troubles(no idea if true). He has potential to be very good coming off a couple years in a college weight training program IMO. Excellent football instincts and closing speed...

They hired his MSU position coach -- not his primary recruiter. His primary recruiter is Tim Brewster. However, I would say it's definitely helped Auburn... especially if they are going hard after Mackenro as well.

All I did was give you our perspective. I was not in any way insulting UT. If you read my post history here, you'll see that I'm not here to stir the pot -- but simply to gain perspective and give a little when I have it. Fact is that Ramsey has already taken an OV to MSU. He's taken...

We feel pretty good about Mack Alexander and to a lesser extent Jalen Ramsey(because he's committed elsewhere)... We'll see what MacKensie thinks after his OV. Ramsey's parents are both pretty sold on wanting him at MSU(I've heard similar about Fla too though). There is some personal...

    '13 MS S Antonio Connor

You obviously don't know much if you are implying that EITHER of these two have ANY problems with academics -- or ever have. You shot your mouth off about two kids that you shouldn't have, and you got called on it. Simple. Implying academic fraud on a message board is pretty ridiculous in...

You haven't been following South Panola for very long, I see. Long, LONG list of nonqualifiers that were every bit as highly recruited as Tony Conner is. It was bad enough for years that many schools almost stopped recruiting there. It's an injustice to even compare these two guys to some...

Neither of the two legit prospects in this class are what you would call prototypical "South Panola kids"... both have excellent grades and seem to be very high-character guys. That said, I would be absolutely shocked at this point if Conner doesn't end up at Ole Miss. We are hearing that...

    13 FL QB Asiantii Woulard

Better get after him Vols...:) MSU currently only has 2 scholarship QBs on campus - one of which will be a 5th yr senior this coming season. We recruited Cord Sandberg this year as FINALLY the perfect fit for Mullen's offense, only to have him then go to a couple PG showcases and become a...

    '13 OH WR Corey Smith

Very excited to get him! Fits perfectly in Bumphis' role, IMO. State was always going to be attractive to JUCO receivers because we lose all starters and over 80% of our receiver production this year. The fact that we've already missed on Quantavious Leslie and Johnathon Rumph had us getting...
