For those slinging mud already - get used to it if Strong (or an equivalent) is hired.

Les Miles, Will Muschamp, James Franklin, and the majority of CFB coaches wouldn't be able to recruit at UL.


The ONLY two guys that could recruit with the big dogs at UL are Meyer and Saban. Even then, it'd be difficult

Any day, I'd take 100 people stepping away from something they don't support versus 1 person that follows everything he's expected to follow; a lemming.

I'm not going to step away from a team I've followed for as long as I can remember in my life(23 years old) just because my team didn't hire the guy I wanted them to. I do like Strong, but even if I didn't, I would support him until he gives me reason not to. I will support Hart until he gives me reason not to. I would also support Gruden, Gundy, or whoever else until they gave me reason not to. But I will always support the Tennessee Volunteers. It's much more than individuals running the team, it's the team itself.

If the AD is a failure and the coach is a failure, they will be gotten rid of. What won't leave/be gotten rid of is our team.

I can't blame boro if its true. I will try to back whatever coach coach comes but it will not be easy. I am upset because Cheek an Hart have said that they understand how important athletics are to the fans, the university, and the Knoxville area economy. They said they were committed to bringing championships back to kville. If it is Strong, this will not happen. They will not even be able to win the East much less win the SEC or a NC. We should wind up about 8th or 9th in the sec in recruiting every year. Unless he is some kind of wizard that can take mediocre talent and turn them into first round draft picks, it's gonna be some long seasons. I am gonna hold out hope that this is bogus. If its not, I know an AD that will be looking for a job soon.

I can't believe you wasted your time posting this drivel...Arkansas outhired us, more than likely, and AU possibly did as well...

It's my opinion, not a very farfetched one at that. Gruden is #1 on my list, but there are other good coaches out there.
