Missouri's SEC campaign

I am definitely a Mizzou hater; I'd rather go to hell than Mizzou.

Thank you. Enjoy your porn stores and puppy mills.

Comedy. This is the definition of arguing with an Idiot. I thought the Georgia Tech game was hilarious until I saw what KSU and Ok. State did to you. You guys are lucky Pinkel is merciful.

To say Louisville, BYU, and West Virginia are all more attractive than Missouri is laughable. Only a KU fan would try to say that with a straight face.

You wouldnt believe how jealous they are. But they need us more than we need them. Its laughable they are really going with the idea to run away from us in all sports. Maybe they want us to pay them like the FCS Program they are.....or at least lose to

I used to live just north of Columbia,MO. I am still friends with many Mizzou fans. When My wife and I lived there we did foster care. I took him to some Mizzou basketball games. The fans had much class while I was in attendance. I think they will be a great additionto the league. I very much look forward to Mizzou joining the SEC. I look forward to traveling back to COMO and seeing good friends and a nice atmosphere. (Just we always have to win so I have bragging rights over friends and wifes family)

Mizzou is expected to inform the Bevo 12 today, that they are leaving the conference. They will likely announce that they are applying for membership in the SEC this week.

Sooner AD: Big 12 would like to replace Missouri Tigers quickly if MU leaves conference - ESPN

A Big 12 school administrator told the Austin American-Statesman on Sunday that he thought West Virginia would be an upgrade over Missouri.

"I'd say West Virginia is the leader in the clubhouse," the official told the newspaper." I think we'll come out better than before. I'd rather be with someone who wants to be with our conference than anybody who doesn't. ...

"West Virginia has better football than Missouri, better basketball than Missouri, a better budget than Missouri and more passion among its fans than Missouri. They're better, anyway you turn 'em. The travel's not good but that's it."

lol

How is that guy an AD?

He's probably making seven figures and he doesn't even sound qualified to make me a sammich.

Report from ESPN (from SportsCenter) says if Mizzou is accepted they will join the East. Crisis averted, sounds like

Mizzou to the east sounds doable. Not terribly far to Knoxville Nashville or Lexington.

Also, not that it would happen but I'd like to see Tulsa, Houston and smu in the bevo 12.

Houston's doable, I think. Same with SMU.

Also, I have several friends who attend Mizzou so getting to play them in Columbia would be a good road trip for me.

I don't have #s in front of me, but I would be surprised if Mizzou's athletics budget is smaller than WVU's. I just don't think of WVU as being rich.

Just looked up a database from 2004-2005, WVU draws about 8% more football revenue than does Mizzou, but outspends them on Football by almost two to one.

So Big 12 gets the school with the bigger budget, and SEC gets the school with the superior ROI. :)

Basically. Mizzou actually netted $400k throughout the whole AD, while WVU was in the red by a substantial amount.
