Maurer with some truly insane numbers tonight...

West Port and Ocoee nearly broke the scoreboard on Friday night. In the end, a 77-67 win by Ocoee over the Wolf Pack is believed to be the second-highest scoring game in state history behind only the 2013 playoff game between Clay and Bishop Kenny, which produced 147 points in a 74-73 win for Clay.

Brian Maurer led West Port’s offense to 876 yards and 39 first downs. Maurer went 34-for-53 for 513 yards and three touchdown passes and added 195 yards rushing and three more scores on 15 carries.
On the offensive: Ocoee outscores West Port, 77-67

Huh? If he was throwing 7 INTs a game, I may agree with you, but it looks like Maurer is doing everything humanly possible to help his team win. It's not fair to blame him for the rest of his team's (obvious) shortcomings.
