It's getting ready to lose 2 more to Tennessee, as a friend and his wife are coming down on another house hunt in 2 weeks. They have their N.Y. house on the market.
Please be sure to tell them to leave all their "Well in NY this is how we do things..." BS at the state line.

We don't want their taxes, their traffic and none of the other **** that made them leave in the first place

Who is afraid of things unraveling?

I think people in general. The unknowns with Manifort, Cohen, Flynn etc.. along with anonymous rumors and Woodward's book...

It may be that it all amounts to nothing to harm Trump, but people are worried that maybe it really hasn't all been a "witch hunt".

I am sure there are some that feel what you are saying. I am not so sure a majority of even Trump supporters feel that way. Maybe they do. Who knows? I am not worried at all. If Trump gets ousted, then another scumbag will take his place. Then after that scumbags term is over, another scumbag will take his place.

I won't necessarily disagree with that. I'd even say it's probable.

Cue Andrea Bocelli-Time To Say Goodbye. Former GOP mega-donor hedge funder billionaire Seth Klarman urged voters to support Democrats in the coming midterm elections and said in a recent interview that he believes “democracy is at stake.” By the time of the mid-term elections, he suggests he will have spent up to $20 million-Soros level spending on the mid-terms. #GOPWalkAway

A profoundly interesting quote from the NYT from him.

“I don’t care what good things are happening now because I am drawn to focus on the democratic norms that are being eroded,” he said. “It doesn’t matter what the ends are. The means disqualify the ends.”

"I won’t support this nonsense in the Republican Party anymore" - Les Wexner

Ohio's wealthiest Republican donor just left the party. I completely understand. I was a lifelong Republican until about a year ago. Some of my friends and family are dismayed but others are beginning to get it. The election of '16 may prove to be our country's biggest blunder. I believe this thing is really beginning to unravel now. As much as I despise Hillary and all things Clinton I have come to the conclusion that we would be a better nation with her in the Oval Office than we are with Donald Trump.

Hilarious. In a thread about multiple GOP mega-donors saying good-bye to the GOP, no less. Genius.

Did you read your own article? Klarman hates Trump, he is giving money to democrats to check him and his “runaway presidency”, whatever that’s supposed to mean. Nothing mentioned about leaving the GOP. More hyperbole from the chicken little crowd.

He's not bad. He lives in western N.Y. state.

Western/ north western New York State is completely different than north eastern part in almost every way I had no clue until I started driving for a living how beautiful it is compared to the over crowded craziness of the north east . It’s like night and day but they are controlled by NYC much like Sacramento does California

It's funny, but most billionaires are liberal. Gates, Buffett, Tepper.... Ichan probably is but I am not sure. It's easy to be when money is truly no object and you can stand on a platform that it is OK for the .gov to take more. After all, it won't hurt him one little bit.
Well, he is probably pissed at tariffs since he takes advantage of near slave, foreign labor for his clothing empire.

Funny thing about that quote - it applies entirely to the "get Trump no matter how" crowd which has several members on this very forum.

Did he just become a moron or was he a moron when he was giving millions to Republicans?
I’d say if he claims to still be a Republican yet gives millions to Dims that qualifies as moron in my book.

Also, on my book, I have sources to back that up. You’ll just have to trust me ... 😂

This is one of those "The grass is greener" stories..Except instead of greener grass its fungus ridden and riddled with weeds that won't die and eventually take over and ruin the once green lawn.

They were only donating millions as part of their long con troll job.

They gave money because it suited their interest. Trump isn’t on the sell the country down the river for a buck which many businesses at that level despise because it messes with their off shoring.

The republicans on a whole were all aboard the f American worker’s train. Hell, NAFTA was bush sr baby.

So yeah, of course the are pissed.

Agree with the current Republican party being crap, but I would never concede that Clinton would have been better. These were unequivocally the two worst presidential candidates in our nation's history.

By shrinking, do you mean like him winning Michigan,PA and Wisconsin?

He obviously got some non-republicans to vote for him in those states. Doesn't mean that they're republicans because they voted for a republican in the 2016 election. The actual number of registered republicans is shrinking. This is likely why you see Trump's approval rating so high among registered republicans (mostly just true believers left), but at just around 40% overall.

Pollster: GOP base is shrinking
