2017 feels a lot like 1998

Sucked about losing Jamal, but man these other backs are amazing! They came in and torched Georgia!

Oh, wait....

That was what 1998 felt like. Very much not like what this feels like.

Calling D4H.... Show up and own this.

There's always next year.

Lol @ D4H, dude is obviously some kid that was way over pampered growing up and no matter how horrible he was at something his parents hyped him up to make him believe he was the greatest or they just paid others to push that lie to him.

He honestly believes he is some sports/cfb guru and acts like he is some ESPN/247/bleacher report professional expert that people respect the opinion of. Sadly he doesn't know the difference between when people talk crap about the real experts and people mocking his orange shaded, but really knows jack shot opinion.

Moss is there a way you can just erase all his threads he creates acting like he is some expert. Like his preseason crap or his draft crap. It's all just crap and he really doesn't need to be wasting time on these boards with his nonsense. Maybe give him one thread where he can post whatever opinion he wants and call it, D4H: The Official Idiot of Volnation.

I'll be honest.

After losing to Fla., (and seeing how bad they looked to me), and how bad LSU looked, and SC, and KY......I thought this would be a good season.......and that was even after the Fla loss. I thought I had seen Tennessee play as bad as they could play and still almost won.........but boy was I wrong.

The coaching is that bad.

No worries. Spring practice starts soon. 😬

As will the talks of SEC East Champs and Shocking the World!

I'm actually excited about 2018. They may not win many games but I want to see them knock the di*k strings out of opponents.

I know I said we could be in for another year like 1998 last season. But that was mostly wishful thinking. There really weren't many parallels between 2016 and 1998. I just wanted Dobbs, Sutton, Barnett, Hurd, Kamara, and JRM to go out as champions. If we're being honest, this year resembles 1998 a lot more than last year. In 2016 we were highly touted. We were the favorites to win the East and were even considered a dark horse playoff team. And we still had our legendary senior QB on the team. That's very different from 1998 when we had just lost our legendary senior QB. We were not expected to win the East let alone contend for a national championship.

When I look at 2017, it starts to look a lot like 1998. (1) We no longer have the legendary Josh Dobbs just as we no longer had the legendary Peyton Manning in 1998. (2) We have a long losing streak to Alabama that most feel we have no chance of breaking. In 1998 we had a long losing streak to Florida and most didn't feel we could beat them either. (3) We are being severely underrated by the media. Nobody expects us to win the East let alone compete for a national championship. (4) And like 1998, we still have a ton of talent on campus that is hungry and motivated to prove themselves.

Guys the saying that "this feels like 98" has never been more appropriate. I really think we are in for a special season. We're gonna shock a lot of people with how good we are.

Should I buy coal stocks? You were only 63 pts off on this prediction. :hi:
