It was reported at one point that Jeff Brohm had signed an MOU with Currie, and that Davenport rejected it...

There is a lot of talk about us owing Schiano money due to the MOU being signed.

If that's the case, why aren't people saying the same thing about Jeff Brohm? Unless the story about him signing was completely made up...

This makes me think the sports media heads are just reporting this to make UT look bad over the Schiano incident... If there was anything to it, they would be saying the same thing about Brohm.

No reason we owe either; it was negotiation - Memorandum of Understanding vs Contract of Employment. One says what the terms would be so that there wouldn't be any disagreement regarding the contract itself.

You walk into a store and look at a price, that doesn't obligate you to buy the item. Even if you ask a sales person for clarification of price or contents or demonstration, it doesn't obligate you to buy or pay anything unless you walk out with a purchase.

If someone somehow twists the facts to make it different, then my appreciation for our legal system will be even lower than it already is.

If we're paying out for rumored MOUs then UT is going to be broke!

Not anymore, there is now another thread saying Saban to NY football giants and Bama will get Pruitt, so that should cover all the buyouts, failed MOUs and still have enough to bring Gruden in.

Which was the plan all along.

Commence new Gruden threads in 3...2...1..

Soon..lol

The only issue with Schiano is the uproar that occurred.

Take away that and legally, this is a non starter.

Don't feel too sorry for them. Not to sound too cynical, but we have to think most were smart enough to parlay their fifteen minutes into a raise at their current post. The others observed those who did and put that move into their repertoire for future use.

You are not allowed to bring rational thought and facts in here. This is Volnation.

Remember when Beverly called John and Told him not to make an offer before returning to The UT Office? THAT was to show that Currie didn't have the AUTHORITY-----SO UT could Use That in the Schiano Debacle. Things are not ALWAYS as they seem.
