Tennessee has the nation’s second-hardest schedule

It’s likely of little comfort to Vol fans after enduring a 58-21 drubbing at the hands of rival Alabama, but according to the latest rankings from Jeff Sagarin, Tennessee’s strength of schedule currently ranks No. 2 in the nation, behind only Iowa State.

South Carolina, Tennessee’s upcoming opponent, has played the seventh-toughest schedule thus far.
