Donnie Tyndall received his first commit as Tennessee head coach today when 6-foot-8 forward Jabari McGhee (★★★), from Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia, committed to the Vols this morning. McGhee, who has been on campus since Wednesday, averaged 24 points and 15 rebounds last season.
“It went great,” McGhee told the News Sentinel. “I felt like this is a place I can prove myself, be around guys that want to win, as well as the coach.”
Tennessee still has five empty scholarships available for 2014, should Coach Tyndall choose to use them.
