JMO, but JJJ should be on the team before Harris. So should Bowden
Neither guy really plays forward in a "3 guard/2 forward lineup". So, if he's sticking to a rigid positional lineup, I can see why Harris over JJJ or Bowden happens. Additionally, Harris is infinitely more talented, but only a 1-yr guy instead of lifers like JJJ and Bowden.
FWIW, Harris's one season yielded a higher PPG and RPG average (15.3, 7.3) as a true freshman than either of the other two were able to produce in any of their 4 or 5 seasons.
Agree on all points. Harris did make 2nd team All-SEC and the All-Freshman team, though. But you're right, he's underappreciated.
I agree with you. I'm certainly not disrespecting him in any manner. My opinion is based on longevity with the program. Chandler was also a great one year player who probably deserves a slot. I disagree that Harris is underappreciated. I see his name pop up on a lot of posters' all time teamsTo me, Tobias was the best freshman we've had this century and he was still on a NCAA tournament team. It wasn't his fault that the Pearl fiasco derailed what should have been an iconic freshman in UT history. Add the fact he's been by far the best pro we've had since Allan Houston, and I think that's worthy of the third team.
JJJ and Bowden obviously did more winning but they were 4-5 year players that never even got close to Tobias' freshman year in terms of numbers. I just value Tobias way more as a player.
