The sad part is your right. But anytime a coach did bad with all kinds of talent people on here said " he's another zook" and now that guy might be our dc. I'm a vfl though so ill support whoever it is, for as long as they wear orange

No, this hire is about changing the perception of UT football. Zook's hire would in no way change our perception, it would be just another mediocre choice by the UT AD and this administration.

Who? I don't Think anyone on this board thinks its hard to recruit at fl. I was just looking at his brightest side which was his recruiting at fl. Never said it was tough though

For most on here it doesn't matter. If DD hires them they are automatically GREAT and just what we needed.

Your not saying it but I will say it -- I have never been impressed with him. All hat - no cattle. Seems to have gotten by on bs alone imo. Should have never been a head coach or a coordinator imo. Don't like his personality or his character. If your at Florida with Spurrier you shouldn't need to cheat. He and Sells will always be best know for Faxgate in my mind.

Shouldn't even be a candidate in my opinion - needs to be at Auburn with the rest of those crooks who will say anything and pay to get recruits.

Zook was the DC for the Saints back in 2000. He never coached at the Falcons. Remember Zook coached at UT during the 80's. I'm pretty sure he was the DB coach. He is an elite recruiter and a decent defensive coach. If he is the guy, I hope CDD makes him the recruiting coordinator.

Also I think he would be a O.K. hire. Definitely not a big splash/home run type hire. If we hire him or anyone else besides CRS there will definitely be a huge letdown on VN. The rest of the fan base might view it differently though. I have forgotten already but what happened at UF with the faxgate issue?

It will be hard for me to ever trust Zook after faxgate, I would rather promote LT to be honest.
