They still do. So do we. Lulz.
I remember having to wear a shirt and tie to work. 50 ft. from door to truck and shirt was wet before the AC could kick in. I still miss being down there, too many people on the right coast though.

We had a couple of weeks of that in April but it's been nice since.

It's about to get ugly though and the funk will hit you as soon as you open the door at 5am. Then when the sun comes out, it's over.

I was in Pt. St. Lousy from 83 to 98. Loved it and hated it at the same time. Love it enough to turn back the clock though and go back.

Old Lady Foster was looking forward to going back to Ohio before the heat set in here. She said those days in April "plum near kilt" her. She can't understand how 85° here is like 100° at home.
One thing is the humidity. Another thing is everything here is hot. The sun is closer and bakes everything. The ground is sand, pavement or concrete and it's like an oven/sauna for pretty much 9 months, 5 of which are straight.

One good thing about it though. Everything has A/C, cept NorCals place, and feels so good to go inside. Showers feel really good too and we don't need to pee in them to feel good either.
