Zona Gonna Try Him (JG at QB)

When JG could get a rhythm he was usually pretty good with no expectations and no pressure… his issue was he had no mental toughness at all one mistake killed him for the game… hopefully he finds some and does well enough in the league…

JG marched them down the field against meh, 3rd string 'Nati Def and really looked sharp on all that play action.

'Zona didn't ask much of him downfield and he looked in command of what they gave him

Happy for JG. Hope he finds the right opportunity and thrives.

His results @ UT weren't great but he was a tough nut.

Go Vols !

Hope he has success in the nfl but if he makes a nfl roster and sees 1 snap in a regular season game it will demonstrate the incompetence we had at coaching his 20+ years or however long he was here at tennessee.

I mean JG didn’t have a QB coach until Weinke. He had either 4 or 5 different OCs here. He was also playing under two of the worst HCs in the history of our program. Some will crap all over that but U am sure it had a lot to do with his development.

If Dobbs can't get on the field, no way JG does. Not surprised he's getting a shot though, he's always been a good practice QB.

Dobbs was at his best when he was improvising and keeping his eyes downfield to make a play or running. That’s not what they want you to do in the NFL.

Pruitt kept trotting him out there because JG knew where the skeletons were hiding.
What happened once JG hit the bench and the portal?
Pruitt's house of cards came down.
