After you hid out in back yard? Trying to avoid the guy...especially knowing all you were doing was walking home from the store while on vacation in a strange neighborhood as a 17 yr old?

Why hide in the backyard? Why not go inside?

Something tells me he had no problem outrunning a 5'7 fat guy. Especially considering he was thin and 6ft.
