Zimmerman Trial

I thought it odd that there was so little evidence introduced about the background of either the defendant or the deceased. Because the defense argued self defense, I really thought it had the right to explore both the motive and the means of Trayvon Martin to commit the assault. There definitely was evidence which the judge did not allow. Also, there was very little testimony about Zimmerman's character, which went to both motive and state of mind. It was obvious from news reports that the defense could have produced a lot of positive testimony.

My guess is that the jury is split at the moment. I'm not convinced that conviction is likely. I think one or two jurors are holding out and a hung jury is the absolute worst case scenario. And even then, the judge should make them hammer away for a while, and the lone holdout(s) for conviction will likely cave.

The thing about the jury not working through it today, just makes it seems like they are more in the camp of finding him guilty of something

I disagree. If they thought they were near consensus, they would have kept at it. Turning in early indicates disagreement.

Anybody who says George Zimmerman is innocent is ignorant and uneducated. Please do your homework. #ZimmermanTrial #JusticeForTrayvon

Have you noticed most supporters of @NancyGraceHLN either missed a vowel or have first grade writing skills in their tweets? #ZimmermanTrial

Maybe the jury just decided to do due diligence in going over the evidence. Maybe they decided to "sleep on it" before sending in their verdict. Who knows?
