Zimmerman Trial

It's not my bad luck & if somebody breaks in my home it's my intent to kill them regardless of there's.

Oh. My. God.

I'm clearly speaking in reference to this hypothetical future in which firearms are banned.

But, you know what? Even your misinterpretation of my post doesn't change that I'm still right. If a lunatic breaks into your home with the intent to kill you, that is "bad luck."

That isn't even a hypothetical future.

Notabed, hypothetical dream land scenario: a rash of vehicular homicides is sweeping the nation, and claiming lives at a pace that would make a gun carrying psychopath blush. Do we ban vehicles in this fantasy world?

Of course it is, but depending on your stance with regard to arming yourself the "bad luck" may end up being that of the criminalistic thug.....which is as it should be

Yea, dude, you're ****ed. Sorry. Bad luck.

It's not that ridiculous a question. Bamawriter gave a great answer but, for the most part, people don't just casually break into your home with the intent to kill you.

How does your ban make gun violence less likely? So far, it only sounds like it would reduce self-defence via firearm.

Ok, so clearly safety is not the purpose of the ban. We must start over. What is the purpose of the ban?

The purpose of the ban is safety. I'm just not opening myself up to banning automobiles and lighters because they kill more people than guns.

No maybe not. But they do break in with the intent of not getting caught or seen to be identified. Now he's busted and doesn't want to be caught. You think he's just gonna say" dang man you caught me, ill just wait here on the couch while you call the cops"

I would expect you to either get the criminal to leave or incapacitate him until the police arrive.

In this situation, possibly.

Regardless of what happens to the crazed individual, it's still bad luck on your part that you had to deal with the situation.

Reduces access to firearms. Columbine is a lot less likely to happen if guns are outlawed and Eric & Dylan have to struggle to find something that being found in possession of would result in a life sentence.

How do I get him to leave or incapicitate him? He has a gun, I don't . Hell if he just had a knife, what do u suggest? Hand to hand combat with knives like on under siege ?

You are a total moron.

It is illogical to claim the purpose is safety while leaving more dangerous things to remain legal. Thus, your ban is illogical.

You have to ask the intruder to kindly matchup instead of him killing you & taking whatever he wants.

It is only illogical if I'm banning one weapon in the name of safety and letting another, deadlier weapon slide. Guns are designed to shoot things, cars are designed to transport a person from Point A to Point B.

If you want to commit a horrible crime like these mass shootings, you don't need a gun(Boston bombing). There will always be a way, so, disarming citizens is not gonna do jack.

depending on my gun situation, that "bad luck" issue might be more severe for said lunatic.

Notabed why are you so terrified of guns?
It's a pretty difficult story for me...

I was visiting my friend's home as a child with some other kids and his father had left a firearm out in the open. I had never touched a gun before but was simultaneously scared and intrigued. As I was playing with the gun, it misfired several times and killed my three friends. Ever since that horrible afternoon I have vowed to stop at nothing to eradicate firearm usage.

Why should intended use make a difference? Further illogical dribble. Is a ban about safety or isn't it?

Misfired? You mean you pulled the trigger? So you're a murderer?

They weren't caught though. A ban doesn't make it more likely that anyone will be caught.

:eek:lol::eek:lol:

It's about time you finally came out of the troll closet.

(and please don't try to sell us the idea that the above is true, it'd spoil the fun)

Sound like you want everyone disarmed so u can kill again. And just because your a retard doesn't mean everyone is. A logical argument would to vow firearm awareness, like teaching them to shoot and teaching them gun safety. That will stop the curious kids that don't know and want to play with them. I grew up hunting and shooting guns, I knew the dangers, so when I saw one laying around , I wasn't curious because I knew all about it. Using your logic, we should ban cars because some people have learned how to drive and would be dangerous if they did.

This is where we agree to disagree. You offer your life to the intruder (or die like a p**** blowing air darts at him?), I use my legally owned firearm to protect mine. To each his own.

Okay then, don't call the police. Just defend yourself with things other than firearms.

You know, sometimes firearms are an equalizer:

Oregon Woman Raped After 911 Call Goes Unanswered | Fox News Insider

(on a side note, I liked the video since I find Megyn Kelly incredibly smoking hot and she looks great in that color)

But I guess that women should just go through life with the emotional and sometimes physical scarring after their attackers overpower them. Sometimes the less than lethal tools just aren't effective and when it comes down to it, the firearm is the only and most effective way of being able to protect oneself.

But it's okay, because criminals will suddenly see the light in your imagined Utopia of nonviolence and harmony and willingly give up their firearms because they suddenly feel compelled to protect the sanctity of human like.

But back in reality, the fact remains some people are just better as fertilizer rather than wasting oxygen and continuing to violate the peace. Every woman that shoots a rapist right in the head ends up saving others from significant trauma.
