As well as neo-nazis and the klan. Let's paint a fair picture that hate exists on both sides of race. The difference IMO is that most whites see white extremists as crazy(as they should) while Jesse and Al are revered.

But the so-called white supremacists have been so marginalized that they hold virtually no political power. Every now and then I'll see a news story with 30 idiots dressed in bed sheets screaming something about Hitler and the Third Reich. But if you listen to black supremacists and the race baiters, you'd think there's a cracker behind every bush waiting to pop up and shoot a negro.

Zim is a fat punk. He is not a gangster, nor a thug. Zim was/is a person looking to commit a murder, saw his chance, and took it. ****ing chump is all Zim is. Sorry.

Sorry back at you, but that is just a lie told by the wannabe lynch mobs. If he was looking to shoot somebody, do you really think that he would have called the cops first and then taken a beating like that while he was screaming for people to help him? Did you even follow the evidence in the trial? He did not pull the gun until he had no choice.

Skin? Dude should be home with his candy. Zim should be wherever fatgays go to play. End of story. Oh, except for a murder that took place.

Racism as it pertains to the US.

I do not hate gays. Why would I? They (singular or as a group, have done nothing to me). If I referred to him as gay, how does it mean I hate him for the type of sex he has?

Post 1, you clearly state you don't think very highly of Z. Post 2, you call him a fatgay. As you've clearly stated your dislike for Z, it has to be assumed you don't mean that as a compliment, but rather a durogatory statement. Calling him gay is meant to be an insult. If you cannot see the bias there, I can't help you.

Please reread the post and you will see I pretty much said as much. We look down on white extremists but Al and Jesse are revered. I in no way believe they deserve their popularity. They sell hate to make a living.

I'm all for equal opportunity, civil rights, etc. As a white person it just seems hypocritical that some of these black "leaders", NAACP & the like only talk about what can be done for blacks. Now we have affirmative action, Rooney rules, etc & that goes against the very things they are suppose to stand for. They themselves are the driving forces of racism & divisiveness. If a white guy wants to play running back in the NFL he better be damn good & play his ass off. If a black wants to be a coach he's at least guaranteed an interview that whites won't even get.

So zim got out of his car to supposedly check the street sign correct?

It was suggested wasn't necessary for him to follow TM correct?

Then if TM 'attacked' Zimmerman then it would have been very close to his truck right?

Essentially there is no proof of who started the flght. Only proof that TM was winning and zimm felt his life was in danger.

TM could have gone home, but at this point it's all speculation and on the word of zimm and witnesses who could hear yelling and only noticed strange activity after fight started.

Really everything about this case is speculation.

It's my understanding there are 4 mins that are unaccounted for when the fight started.

The injtial aggressor is speculation as we only have one side of story.

I agree with most except the gun issue. Your assertion of him carry his gun is wrong. In your assertion any ccw holder is looking for trouble. Not true. Just prepared.

I wasn't trying to say carrying his gun was wrong. I just believe carrying a gun makes it more important that you identify yourself and your intentions. I think it's a responsibility you have if you are carrying a concealed weapon legally and in a situation where you might need it. I'm not saying he needed to tell TM he was armed. I just believe he should have identified himself as NHW.

You guys are great. Don't say that. We would not be here without you. We are eternally grateful. We could have been stuck in Africa :peace2:.

And that is what this case of self defense is all about in your mind or you would not have said it...race. By now, you should know that is not true. You should know that Zimmerman just does not fit that pattern. He was a man trying to watch out for his neighbors and got in deeper than he should have with a kid who was looking to do exactly what you accuse Zimmerman of wanting to do. That is what the evidence shows. Blame Zimmerman for caring about his neighbors too much, but don't say that he was looking to kill some Black kid. That is not what happened.

My version of what happened:

TM: why you following me honky?

Zimm: I am sick of you people always getting away w crime.

TM? Wtf u mean you people? Starts waking towards zimm

ZM: I called the cops to have you arrested. Take your skittles out of my neighborhood.

TM: da ****? White boy you trippin. Comes at zimm

Zimm: assumes fighting stance and yells, "I have the right to protect myself. Proceeds to piss pants.

TM: beats zimm up while yelling a mixture of slang and threats.

Zimm: crying for help, gets scared and shoots TM.

Aftermath: zimm with superficial wounds gets labeled a racist. TM lauded as a hero. In reality both are sorry excuses for men. America loses again.

I think that the four minutes are the minutes from the time Martin disappeared until the time the fight started. Bear in mind that the prosecution star witness stated that Martin had gone all the way to the outside of the building where he was staying. That means that he came back to stalk and confront Zimmerman in the area where Zimmerman had stopped.

Gracias. So that would mean zim didn't continue to pursue Martin.

So, is this what the trial was about to you...race? This is not the time to make your anti-affirmative action speeches. A man was on trial for shooting somebody dead. The trial was for the purpose of determining his innocence or guilt. It was NOT about the racial ills of our society as you see them.

In order for one to identify himself, one has to make contact. Gz lost him when he got out of truck . So, the next contact was a punch by TM .

According to the witness that was on the phone with TM at the time, TM knew he was being followed. If Z couldn't see him, then he had obviously failed in following him. If that's the case, why not simply identify who you are out loud in case he is hiding?

Why is that reckless?

I know the facts of the case, so you have told me nothing new. I wanttoknow how you define reckless in a manner in which this fits your definition but bars the same being said regarding walking up or around anyone at night and in public. Am I being reckless if I walk through Boston Public Gardens at night, come up behind and overpass someone on the path, and fall to identify myself? What factor makes this different in a public ****ing neighborhood?

Trut, there is a difference between being followed and walking in the same area as someone else. TM acted reckless as well, I won't argue that, but I firmly believe so did Z. But let me ask you this, as I stated above, TM knew he was being followed, so if that created a fear for his life in him, were his actions not justified as well? I did not follow this trial everyday, nor have I studied the actual FL stand your ground law, but most SYG laws are dependent on a fear for your life. If TM had beaten Z to death, would he have been justified? A strange man was following him. He didn't know the man's intentions. A fear for his life may have set in, which in hindsight is justified. Yes, he should have just run away, but he didn't, he stood his ground. Z should never have left his vehicle, but he did. He was NHW, not the police. Both took actions that were reckless IMO. One paid for his recklessness with his life. The other is now a free man. Perhaps the case itself has punished him enough for his recklessness as his life will never be the same. But I don't feel Z was guilt free. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. That's mine.

No the trial wasn't about race to me but it obviously is to 99.9% of black people in America. The man shouldn't have been on trial to begin with but pressures from black political figures, orginizations, & mobs had his freedom unnecessarily in jeopardy. If you even wanna call it freedom anymore. Now he has to fear for his life for defending his.

That is correct, or at least that is the evidence. The fight started where Zimmerman stopped following Martin, on a concrete walk which went 90 degrees from the concrete walk Martin had taken between the rows of buildings. The prosecution witness, Rachel Jeantel, placed Martin about a hundred yards away from that spot during his phone call with her. She said that he was out of breath and then began talking in a very low voice during the time it took for him to return to where the fight started.

"Yes, he should have just run away, but he didn't, he stood his ground." Weezer

This is not what the prosecution star witness testified. She said that he did run away, that he had gotten all the way to the outside of the building where he was staying. That is the length of three buildings away from where the fight started. If you did not even watch the trial, then you really should not be arguing about it.

This is true. MLK's stated beliefs were that he wanted equality. He didn't want people judged by the color of their skin, but rather the content of their heart. Many black leaders and their followers have forgotten that "dream" and have moved on to wanting special status.

It is sad to me that more white people seem to remember MLK's teachings than black people. It's not supposed to be about race and division. It's supposed to be about coming together and creating a better nation. It's supposed to be about putting skin color aside and seeing people for who they really are. What happenned to that dream?

I had not heard this. I'll have to google it.

Lookit, I'm not trying to get uppity by saying this, but I did watch most of the trial so I am going to say it. If you don't know these very basic facts of the case, you should not be arguing it.

I don't see how anyone that actually watched the trial could have come up with a guilty vote without applying some serious bias.....especially after the directions were read to the jurors.
