sit on your hands in a close ****ing ball game, give your tickets to someone else. Sitting like a deer in headlights looking like a nervous wreck instead of making noise ain’t helping anything. It was loud early but that was short lived. A normal neyland environment and I believe we squeak this one out. I’ll be the first to boast that Neyland is the best home environment in the country by a mile, but today it was a shell of its normal self. Gotta get over your stupid BVS people. Make an impact.

I think we tossed the game when we didnt go for an orange out and went to the checkerboard look. Maybe next time it is finally time to try something different against Georgia. What do I know though?

This is what happens when nosebleed tickets go for 300-500$. Only the old geezers with lots of money can afford to go.
Spot on. It makes no sense to me why a crappy seat costs $400. So instead of profiting maybe $150-200 on that ticket plus adding a rabid fan that wants to contribute to “home field advantage,” instead the seats are 80% full of primarily “older / wealthy” folks that hardly get off their asses, let alone make a ton of noise. The noise in these games should be deafening almost nonstop.

This isnt a crowd thing, its a tenn thing. Really good teams dont get shaken and rattled at neyland as much as some of these other places. Not saying its not effective in general. I think of when baker lead the comeback. Tenn just isnt one of those schools that has all those big upsets. Somehow other teams have dont have as long of a streak against really great teams. Tenn fans arent so lucky.

There’s no team in college that ain’t at least getting a couple false starts if Neyland is at its peak. It’s just impossible to have zero flase starts if you can’t hear ****. The fans were awful today by our normal standards.

I wasn't there and don't go to the games. So clearly I'm not one to speak on it

I wasn’t either but by all accounts I’ve heard, really disappointing stuff. Fans having to try to get the fans to be loud. 🤦‍♂️Don’t get me wrong at times it was LOUD by accounts. 1st quarter, the series we got the fumble. But other than that just wasn’t the standard. The problem was it wasn’t consistent. Too many lulls.

They had the bad stretch and then maybe BVS set in at the end?

I agree. 2022 bama was loud all the way through. Even after we gave up the scoop and score.
