Zarielle Green to Tennessee

It was three, not five.

They have been friends for a long time, and when Kansas offered them all, the friendship state of mind took over. Two obviously reconsidered and did what was best for them, which is what should happen. Only commit if you know for sure and won’t second guess yourself.

Look at Collins and Massengill. They committed to Tennessee and didn’t take any other visits. They want to be here, and have known that for a long time.[/QUOTE

I can understand how they (teammates) got caught up into that situation. My high school teammates and I got invited to a small college scrimmage game with other recruits... but all four of us ended up at different schools!!! But I could understand if two or three teammates who had played together for several years would like to continue to play together.

I have coached both boys and girls in high school, a lot of girls place a lot of value on friendship. It is not unusual, in my experience, that female friends will sometimes choose to attend the same college. I am glade that we ended up the winner in this particular situation.

And he ranked her #1 in the class and she’s done absolutely nothing at Stanford....He’s a joke!

Kailee Johnson was Jordan Reynolds HS teammate. She was very good, especially early on in her HS years when she stood out from the rest of her class as far as skill level. Many had her as a top 3 player in the class when the class was freshmen and sophomores. Not trying to defend KK but a lot of people had the same opinion of her. Difference is he stuck with it and others moved her down.

She could've been a great player but she was derailed by persistent foot issues left the team to pursue her non-basketball related aspirations. There was speculation for a while, even from Tara herself, if Kailee was fully committed to basketball and it turned out to be true. The talent was certainly there though.

Sorry, tangent over.

Zay contacted TN. She was unsure of KU & I think pulled the gun prematurely after visiting with 2 other teammates. She canceled her OV with other schools including TN.

Then she regretted it.

Zay decommitted from KU and took visits to UCLA & TN.

Hacks in social media press are trying to make it some sort of pay for play deal gone wrong.

Then also trying to say TN unethical for recruiting a player committed to another school. (It's not even illegal until after they sign.)

But TN has clean hands and even called KU to confirm Zay decommitted & that they knew she was visiting TN.

Oh, the drama. Folks always trying to bring you down. But things often seem suspicious in recruiting.

I love the article BY HER PARENTS that clearly states that TN even called KU to make sure that the player had decommitted. Holly and staff didn’t have to do that but did. A lot of coaches would have just taken the word of the kid or twitter without doing that much. I also liked the part where they said as soon as she committed UT back off completely and made no further contact! Shoot the coaches response to her decommittment was “ huh, are you for real” because they were in disbelief 😂. I didn’t second guess the recruiting, visit, or commitment but when things are starting to look up there are those who want to keep you down!
