Zach Stewart = Juan James

Zach will most certainly be a guard for us. He has a high ceiling and will benefit from a red shirt year before looking to contribute.

Zach is a big strong OG that needs some coaching to get much playing time for us. He has grest potential, and as you said, needs a red shirt year to hone his skills. I look for he to progress well with in the next two years.

He is slaw, small motor, excelled in the smallest classification in the state, and got dominated against Knox Catholic. Don't stop believin.

Was at that game. They ran him to death because he had to play both ways. He wore down a lot.

I'm going to take some heat for making the prediction, but I expect to see Zach Stewart come in as an EE and take over the RT spot in the Spring.

I disagree. I think he is going to need time to adjust from 1a high school ball to college ball while also needing time to develop his craft at OL from college level S&C and coaching. Being an EE would increase the learning curve but I don't think it impacts the '15 season. OL & DT are probably the toughest position groups for FR to succeed.

I hope I'm wrong and he develops early and fast and is dominant from day 1 - we need immediate help.

I like Stewart and think he has good potential. However, your constant ridiculous over-the-top declarations about him and how he will play tackle and play early is so mind-numbing. You HAVE to be related to him?

I think that Stewart under the right coaching can be a tackle. He definitely needs work in many aspects but he has time for that. Lets give the kid a couple of years in the strength program and some foot work coaching and he may very well turn into a great tackle for UT. I see some very promising aspects of his game in the films I have watched. I'm all in on him since he's now a vfl!

I'm going to take some heat for making the prediction, but I expect to see Zach Stewart come in as an EE and take over the RT spot in the Spring. Kid has looked great in camps. He's as highly rated as James was, coming out of HS, and like James, is already SEC OT size (6'4" 320lbs). Repeat Mr. Football award winner, in TN.

He reminds me a lot of Eric Fisher, CBJ's former OT at Cent. Mich (Drafted No.1 overall in 2013). Same stature/build and athleticism

Some of are going to wait until the 2nd or 3rd practice before naming his preseason all SEC:rock:

Don't we need at least one more GOOD offensive lineman in this class? Or four!

If there is one position where a player with some talent shouldn't need a lot of development time, it is guard. A lot depends on how strong a kid is when he comes in as freshman. You certainly need a year, but a kid with some talent and some strength early on can play early on--a lot do.

Coalfield to SEC is one helluva jump. Hope he pulls it off but suspect it's going to take some time.

I'm looking forward to our program being back to the point where the thought of offensive linemen playing before their second/third year is laughable... With the exception of the once in a decade type talents.

Freshman playing on O-line is not a good thing.

What a message this thread sends. Come to UT, where some of our fan base will talk sh*t on you before you even get your high school diploma.

Shameful.

I agree! It's amazing to me how some of these people have a 17 year old kid figured out and can foresee his future. Especially well enough to call him "slaw" before he even signs his name on the line. I just don't get it?!? He could be,our next Clifton or he may not but at least give him a chance to compete before we judge the kid. I assume some of these could be haters around his same age or just trolls but sadly, I'm sure some are grown men that claim to be UT fans.

Happy with all these guys coming in, but proof is in the playing. Pretty soon nobody will care what you did in HS. It's bigtime now.
