Zaay Green question

Glad you brought that up! I think it is an ageist, sexist term for women of a certain age. My thought is if posters continue to use this term I am going to start calling out Viagra swilling old fat bald men. What could possibly go wrong? Goose, gander baby!
did you hear about the guy who took a Viagra and it got stuck in his throat... He had a stiff neck for 4 hours

Back to the question in the original post..." is Zay having problems with grades"? I can't for the life of me think a student with all the accommodations that are provided by the University should have this problem. Tutors, Supervised Study Halls, etc., perhaps this is not the reason or case for this question.

Anything that a player goes through that is not a private issue is a responsibility and a reflection of their coach

Btw I didn’t ask my question to question her grades... the song playing in the video is the same and Evina’s and it’s the lyrics of the song that caught my attention even with Evina’s. Yes these are young adults but they’re also educated, and aware of what they put out on social media. “Nothing without purpose.”

That’s was why I questioned. Not for the mess surrounding her grades as that’s between her, coaches, parents, and admin. Period. That’s not our business. My opinion. Grades fluctuate for different reason and that’s not something i feel we should even have any kind of info on at all. I hate that that rumor even got out.

Actually the songs were completely different. Evina had a Kanye song ( Blood on the Leaves) and Zaay had a song by 21 Savage (Ball without you)

Zaay’s video was a project for one of her classes

Why? If we remove it then it goes away? I could say enough to blow the board up and it would all be true( but would get ridiculed by the blue hairs who think this is the 80s and early 90s) but I dont. But just because things are purged, dont make the problems go away. We are the most hypocritical fan base in the nation. We point fingers at others when we are equally guilty.
Totally agree. Well not about the hypocritical part. If this was mentioned on a radio show, how is it inappropriate or some sort of super secret probation information? Just because some seem to want to bury their heads in the sand does not make the issue any less public, nor make it go away...

No, it is not our business. Period.

I think their grades should be posted for the public to see. They are having their scholarships paid for so everyone should see if we are getting our money's worth. And it would give them incentive to perform in the classroom as well as on the court.

I think their injuries should be posted too.

Might as well add in their sexual orientation and political views too.

Seriously, none of this is our business. These players have a right to privacy. If there are/arent issues that prevent a player from being eligible next season we'll find out soon enough. No need to speculate on issues like this. It is demeaning and insulting to players and their families.

I really dislike majority of this fan base if I’m being totally honest. 😂 Hypocrisy at its finest 🤦🏾‍♂️

You do not need me to be totally honest. You just need me to be quiet. And conform with what you think is right.

Everyone knew there would be transfers. We talked about it a lot here. Kelly is in purge mode. Lets support her.

UT does not control the release of data. Privacy, HIPAA, etc. are legal issues. As to paying for their scholarship, that does not override a legal right. No one is posting salaries (in private industry), job reviews are not being posted, discipline issues are not posted, health issues and injuries are not posted; these athletes have the same legal rights as any other person. As the @bballnut90 said, we’ll find out soon enough if eligible.🍊🍊🍊

Note: it is my understanding the student can sign a release as to health issues and UT can report. If they don’t sign, UT can not release. Have never heard anything relating to grades being released. @DeerPark12, any input on this?

Seriously? The school should post the players' health issues? Sprained ankles? The flu? Hemorrhoids? Ovarian cysts? Genetic diseases? Anything else that interferes with their play? Where would you like to stop?

Some of you are just sick. Maybe we should post the health issues of your children on financial aid.

Due to privacy issues, you probably aren't going to get an answer to this.

If it comes out, you will know. It's on Holly and the previous staff that let the situation get to where it is now.

I will just say this, you are a student first, and an athlete second. I'm not saying this at just Zaay, but everyone on the team. You come to school to get your degree. Basketball is an avenue to get you to that degree. Academics started taking a backseat to basketball. That cannot happen.
Another streak of Pat's holly destroyed.

There are a lot of people who need to keep quiet. There is too much “insider Lady Vol business” posted on this forum and I sure hope Coach Harper is made aware and stops these leaks. Some things we don’t need to know and this is definitely one of them. This thread needs to be removed.
The big issue is people creating leaks. They hear a little bit of something and then make a big deal of what they heard.

FERPA says even a student’s parents do not get a copy of their grades unless the student signs off. College cannot even confirm their attendance. I think if there is a crime being investigated there may be some exceptions ( like if a student is missing)

I remember being quite bemused by this ( not letting parents have the grades if the student is over 18.) Applies to K-12 as well.

Smallvol, I think the poster in question has confused scholarships with indentured servitude. Seems to be a common mistake on this board.
