Many years ago I was feeling happy and safe and okay, in spite of some circumstances that were happening. I was in a Hallmark store looking for something for my mom. I didn't know what song was playing, I just knew the melody and the voice added to my total feeling of being, just, happy. It strengthened me in the weirdest way.

The song that was playing was All I Want for Christmas Is You. It had been out a long time by then, but I wasn't familiar with it.

Today, every single time I hear it, it immediately produces a feeling of immense happiness in me. I know a lot of people hate it. I don't. I'm grateful for it.
