"You're not going to have Tennessee to kick around anymore"

Guess you're entitled to your opinion. Kiffin hasn't shown much at any level IMO.

I felt like he did as good or better than Fulmer would have done with the '09 team. He's head and shoulder above Dooley as a coach, but so are most other coaches at BCS conference schools.

This is one of the worst defenses to ever be fielded in my lifetime at UT.

I agree - if we have some decent defense, the offense would be able to win some games. I see a general lack of defensive line agressiveness out there. There are occasions where the defense looks like its coming together then it self-destructs again.

Johnny Majors can back to coach Tennessee, and it was rough for a few years. Bear Bryant was still at Alabama. But Johnny Majors was a good coach and he re-built the program to a Top 10 contender. He started by building a tough hard nosed team and a solid defense. Then a running game. Also, he payed close attention to the Kicking Game and Special Teams. We had a dedicated Kicking Coach. Coaches like Majors are rare. Alabama tried several, before landing Saban, but they LOOKED for the best, went and GOT the best, and empowered him to WIN. Dooley is a good decent man. Perhaps Dooley is not the guy to get us to the end objective of being a Top 10 Program again, but guys like Majors, Fulmer, and Saban are hard to come by.

Kiffin's vols were destroyed by a far less talented, unranked Ole Miss team. That game alone drastically increased Dexter McCluster's draft status.

Remember that quote from SEC Media Days? Who was Dooley talking to at the SEC Media Days? Seems like the same old kicking is in full effect. Maybe we can remove him for false representation.

You took him out of context. To quote the entire sentence, "You're not going to have Tennessee to kick around anymore, Georgia State!"

by this logic...

Kiffin > Spurrier but Nutt > Kiffin....meaning Nutt > Spurrier? Im not buying it

As long as 4 students/football players rob a Pilot the week before.....maybe.

But I was speaking of current rosters so I'm not sure if you have to buy it bro.

I have a tough time feeling sorry for Dooley. By the time all is said and done with his buyout he will have earned over $10M and never beat a single team that mattered.

Every time I start to feel bad for him (cause I really do like the guy) I think the same thing and get over it pretty quick.

We are more competitive. Haven't really gotten blown out this year, yet.

That being said, he needs to go.

I hate to see his tenure end like this. He really, REALLY wanted to be successful here.
when your getting paid millions you should at least make hires that are good. The defense is terrible. We recruit players and can't seem to develope them.I'll bet he could care less about getting fired he was a lawyer and has a contract thats gona hurt UT to get out of.

UT has lawyers too and after the Kiffin debacle I am sure his contract isn't a one way street.

What a bunch of fair weather band wagon fans. Dooley might very well never be "THE" coach, but what big name coach will come here with a fanbase that calls for his head mid-way through his third season. Do you think I'm happy with us getting beat every weekend? I'm ready to start drinking again. But I also understand what CDD inherited here, a few of CPF's players and a bunch of Kiffin delinquents. And regardless of what you think, the big money donors aren't going to pony up this year. So get behind the team or get on someone else's bandwagon. VFL GBO!

I hate sore losers, I for one am going to support CDD, or whomever is our coach. If UT does have a coaching change it will take at least one year to show improvement. If UT were to win one of the next two games I guess our coaching staff is no good..........GO VOLS.:)

These Juniors are his players

That excuse is done. I gave him that the last two years

I am behind this team. I just see the cliff coming

Tennessee is definitely not getting kicked around. Muschamp was so worried he tried a fake punt late in the third quarter. We took UGA and Miss State to the wire.

So he was right. Doesn't mean its okay for the fanbase because he should have won 2 of those game.

clueless post. we have given up 37, 51,41 points in sec games. we are getting kicked all around. do you watch the games?
