Your worst flip out moment from a loss.

I don't know if it was a flip out, but after we lost to Ucla last year on Monday night, i didn't get one wink of sleep that night. I was absolutely pissed at the world.

Probably has to be about 1991 Alabama at Tennessee with about 45 seconds left in game.

We line up to kick about a 40-45 yard field goal in a game that was tied 3-3, yes tied 3 to 3.

The kick was blocked by Alabama and it rolls down to about our 28 yard line and yes Alabama proceeds to turn around and kick a field goal on last play of game to win 6 to 3.

All this happens within about 45 seconds. I still have night mares watching that Bama kicker running in front of our bench looking at our completely amazed players and staff with his two arms up in the air. Man, all within about 45 seconds.

Jabar Gaffney's "catch"

THats the FLA wr that dropped the ball in the endzone and was ruled a catch right?

If so, I got in a fight with my neighbor, cops came, no one pressed charges, Thank God, then I proceeded to rage for about 3 hours on everything in my house. It was like, "calm down,,, wait a few minutes,,, rage again." I threw my fulmer signed football at the TV, after that there was always a purple spot slight left of center...

Horrible night, and a horrible memory that I had almost forgotten.

I should probably hide all of these memories deep down and never tell anyone how crazy I am for UT football, but it makes for a fun thread.

Mine was the 2001 SEC championship game against LSU. We fumbled away our chance, and a shot at the national title, late in the game. I threw the ottoman threw the living room wall. I then proceeded out the front door and stripped out of my lucky UT outfit. I lit the pile of clothes on fire and watched them burn in my underwear as the neighbors drove by. Needless to say, I wasn't invited to the next neighborhood BBQ.

you are insane....I effing love it!!!

At the 1996 Florida game, I flipped out after the first 4th down conversion for a TD. I had just bought a large coke and when they converted it, I spiked it on the steps of Neyland like a football. Luckily since it was raining that day everyone had on raincoats and ponchos, because the coke sprayed everyone in the area. Actually since I did it right as the Gators scored I don't think anyone really noticed too much.

Mine was 2005 Bama/UT. I was at mu uncles house. My entire family are all Bammers except me and my dad. Anderson fumbles out the back of the endzone and Bama kicks the game winner to remain undefeated. They won 6-3. I broke down and just started to cry like a little girl lol. I shattered a glass in my hand and had to run out the door. Sad but true; have not let my emotions get the best of me since. I did punch a hole through my dad's wall when Miss St beat us in the SEC tourney in March.:)

Kansas State Cotton Bowl: hurled the Christmas tree off the porch and out into the yard.... lights, ornaments still on it. I like to think it was time to take it down anyway, considering it was a week after Christmas.

You're not supposed to leave it up after the turn of the year. Its bad luck man.

Great thread, makes me feel much better knowing we all share the pain together.

I usually don't sleep well after any loss... but my worst flip out was actually after UCLA last season. I had actually convinced myself that we had a good team, fulmer was turning it around, and that UCLA was no threat (and they shouldn't have been).
We all know what happened.

I went into the garage and wore out the heavy bag combined with such a barrage of profanity that I think my wife was worried about my sanity. One of my dogs now has acute anxiety in certain situations because of my outbursts that night.

Honorable mention would be punching a fatboy lsu fan in the face after the SECCG last year. He thought it would be a good idea to get in our faces yelling "peach bowl."

I blame the...

The losses usually get easier after the first one but after the first loss of the year I usually go pretty nuts. I like to get a branch or stick of some sort and go out in the yard and find a tree or rock or something to beat it on until it chips off piece by piece into nothing. The beatdown in the swamp a few years ago comes to mind as well as a few others. But this year after UCLA, it came time to do it and I couldn't find anything. So I went into the garage and the first thing I stumbled across was a garden hoe. Instead of going to the woods, I took it to the unfinished house next door and started slinging it all over the place. (the builder went under and fled the coutry leaving these eyesores all over the place in my neighborhood so I was mad at him too...but thats another story). I was beating on wall studs, door frames etc... for some reason my drunken mind decided it would be a good idea to try the brick on the side of the house. The metal hoe part at the end broke off and whipped back and hit my wrist. Hairline fracture. Still doesn't feel right.

Florida when Gaffney dropped the winning touchdown to win the game. I think it was 2000. That was a tough one. This years Bama game, I went outside and kicked a football that was in the back of my truck into some woods behind my friends house and screamed, "Is it that hard to get the ball in the air." Probably one of the better punts i have ever kicked. It cleared some high trees.

I have to go with 2001 vs. Georgia. I very rarely show emotion during the game, but when Stephens took that screen pass for a TD I came up out of my recliner. and then my hopes were dashed. See also, 2007 v LSU, 2001 v. LSU, 1996 v. Memphis and any game vs. Penn State.

Sign him up!:good!:

The Vols owe me two recliners...one from 2001 SECCG and one from the Alabama game this season (although I kinda broke it already during the UCLA game and the Bama game just did it in) When the foot rest of the Lazy-boy starts slamming shut everyone at my house knows it's time to find something else to do because it's about to get violent in the living room. For some reason when things start to go bad I end up watching the game all by myself :)
The weekend of the Bama game was not one of my better weekends. The Preds got shellacked Thursday night, the home town HS team got handed their first loss of the season, then we all know what happened Sat and then of course Sunday the Titans stank up the field. No one said one word to me in my office for over half the day. I finally asked what was wrong and they said the look on my face said loud and clear that I would kill anyone if they brought up sports in any form shape or fashion.

UCLA this year was one of the worst as was last year. Just because we were supposed to win those games and start out with good seasons. A UCLA loss to open the season is about as bad as it can get. Those guys suck. The Bama one this year wasn't so heartbreaking just because of how every one expected us to lose. The recent Peach Bowl losses also stand out in my mind. Once again, these are games we should win on a consistent basis.

1990 against bama. We let them drive with less than 1:20 left, and one timeout, to kick a field goal to beat us.

Yep that Ga game. I took the tape out of the vcr, busted it over my knee, then made a few holes in the wall with my fist. Sore as hell for a week.
