Blair: Will fill-in for either James or Richardson.
Weatherd: Will fill-in for Sapp and, hopefully, team with a healthy Maggitt and Johnson.
Lambert: Will give versatility on the DL and likely is a day one starter.
The freshmen, while many have great upside, likely will take some time to adjust. Relying freshmen is pretty risky--at the same time, relying on freshmen is only slightly riskier than relying on JUCOs.
In terms of who should be able to come in and compete for playing time immediately the two JUCOS Blair and Lambert make a ton of sense. After that Hurd is probably a safe guess, but I would also look to someone playing in the front 7 (Dline and LB's). The current wideouts and secondary are solidifying themselves for years to come.
Who do you think is going to make the biggest impact from day 1 when they arrive?
Mine:
1) Hurd: He is going to be special. Next year, it'll be him and Lane tearing it up
2) Lambert: Dline speed please
3) Blair: With his size and ability, he starts for us right away. Especially if Tiny leaves
