Your thoughts on Bama game start time

Based on the sec schedule for the 15th, our game looks like the biggest match-up. The other sec games that day are :

Ole miss vs arky
Florida vs mizzou
Georgia vs vandy


If CBS gets the first choice of games would they not pick our game?

Depends on all those teams records in October. If you base your guess on hype, Vols/Tide is the likely choice.

However, August fantasies and the realities of October rarely go hand in hand. For all we know Georgia and Vandy could be undefeated.

I am sure someone else has said they aren't worried about Alabama yet. I'm with him. There is plenty of business to take care of before the red team.

Night game in '98, '99 '04, '05 ,'06. Noon in '03. Now LSU VS Bama gets the CBS prime time game.

It was also a night game in 1990, when we got back to playing them every year. I was there to witness a 45-3 good ol Rocky Top whippin on the gators!!!

I'll be drunk either way

I've never understood why people get drunk for games -- not including Dooley-coached games, I guess I get that. Still though.

We spend so much of our time talking and thinking about these 12 guaranteed games, so why get drunk and not be able to remember/appreciate them?

I'm a teetotaler by no means, but I'd rather get drunk Friday night and Saturday after the game and give my full attention to the Vols.

The 3:30 CBS game didn't exist back then. SEC on CBS began in 1996.

I'm the same way. Especially the big games. I get too anxious and can't even eat anything until halftime. Alcohol is not a good mix during a game for me.
