Your Next AD

The GT fans and Atlanta media don't love the guy.

Are you kidding me? I think he's a fantastic AD. He has been willing to make tough financial decisions (Tech doesn't have the money that Tennessee does, but GT is also paying a football and baksetball coach who are no longer employed at the Institute), while getting major money from donors to build a new indoor football practice facility, and essentially a brand new basketball arena (they're keeping the old roof).

I don't live in Atlanta but am down there several times a year, I've never gotten the impression that the Atlanta market in general does not like him, and I know Tech fans like him. The rumor has always been that he would only leave for an AD job in the SEC (He was an associate at LSU and USCe), I thought he might express interest in UT but he has stated in the AJC that he isn't itnerested in UT, and that nobody called.

as has been explained many, many time the guru title came from post count, length of membership, contributions to the board, etc.

Can't we just buy our way into guru-ism? :) I know someone who knows someone who knows Gene Chizik's wife's sister's cousin....

Does being a guru get you in all inclusive clubs with the velvet rope or something?

Or does in just make you popular in cyber space? I am assuming the latter...

I have been posting on here for years and still can't tell you what a "VolNation Guru" represents. I know what a moderator does. I just am dumb-founded when it comes to guru. I know there are a lot of pretty smart posters on here that have no titles. Hat is a guru in basketball after that numerous posters are close in knowledge. JMO.

Still kills you that you haven't made guru, doesn't it.

Guru-ism for sale? I'm liking the sound of that. Who wants to start the bidding? :)

Just think, if I'd have started posting with you guys in the beginning I'd be a Guru too. Me. Guru tag. Oh that would be funny.

I've been impressed with just about everything I've seen from Radakovich. I'd be happy with it, though a couple of my Tech alum friends would surely argue that I would have to compensate them with a few beers.

Not sure I'm allowed a horse in this race considering my tenure here on VN but just want to remind the boss that old people sometimes have lots of old money.

Just a thought.

PM me if you want.

I heard Hubbs on 104.5(Nashville) say he was on top of the list. I think Dooley's behind this. They worked together at LSU.
