Right.. I’m anti Winslow (and was very against the trade to begin with) but Tyus isn’t a world beater and backup PG isn’t blowing 20 pt leads to the Magic
They aren’t trying to prove anything right. They have to see him on the floor to make a decision on his option this off-season.The chemistry on this team was jacked once the FO forced the worst offensive player this millenium into a prominent role. They haven't recovered yet. Most teams are trying to peak and tie down rotations heading into the playoffs. The Grizzlies are trying to prove their FO right by hoping the worst offensive NBA player this millenium actually does something...

You seem extraordinarily hung up on something that really doesn’t matter.Through his Grizzlies career to date, he's the worst offensive player in the past 25 years in the NBA. What else is there to see? Whether its due to injury or something else, Winslow isn't going to show anything this year. Tying up $22MM with the backup PG spot when the starting PG is the future of your franchise? This front office hasn't made many mistakes. Giving up your financial flexibility for a guy that makes Chandler Parsons seem like Cal Ripken was one. Then doubling down and screwing up the chemistry and growth just to see him accumulate more historically inept stats is another.
You aren't going to see anything this year (especially at backup PG) that will justify the option.

There’s no decision to be made with Jaren. For their development, Ja and Jaren need the experience of a playoff series. Screwing up the chemistry you had developed and taking yourself out of the running for the 6 spot and an automatic playoff series in the name of "data accumulation" seems to run counter-intuitive to the long term goals of this team. No franchise ever bats 1.000 - you have to learn when to cut losses. Just my opinion.
You got a much bigger decision on Jaren you will need to make soon. I'd much rather see "data accumulation" with him and Ja....
