I know this is going to need to be merged so dont get all uppity from the start, but I needed this to get a few more views than normal.

Ive got my fantasy draft and Im picking 12th out of 14.

Whats your ideal draft order as far as positions go?

I just did a Mock and went:

QB - Manning
WR - R. Wayne
WR -Ocho Cinco
RB - Arian Foster
Back up QB - Carson Palmer
DEF - Minn
WR -M. Hardesty
WR - Braylon Edwards
WR - Devin Hester
RB - Darren Sproles
K - Sabastion Jana,,,whatever......

and then I let it auto draft the rest.

Not terrible, but I did a sorry job paying attention to the bye weeks and I've got scrubs and next to nothing playing on weeks 7 and 8.

So, whats your order and any suggestions?

Guys, what about the order itself. That's going to my issue.

ok I'm not an expert by any means but I would grab a RB/WR first and wait for the QB when you come back around soon(if it's a snake style order). You should get the same QB value but a better 1st rnd pick or just wait until the 4-5 to get one if you passed on the top-7 guys. Also no TE? And I think your D pick was way too high

Always take 2 RB's first. They get the most points

I was 9th out of 12 and went RB, WR, RB, WR, WR, RB, QB, RB, TE, WR, DST, WR, WR, QB, K

It will snake back around and I noticed a ton of the "top25" RB's going quickly. I decided while he Peyton was still there, I'd take him in hopes of linking him and Wayne up.

I totally dropped the ball on the TE. I had it set to auto draft a player, and he got taken just before so then, in typical TX fashion, I paniked and just never found another one worth taking.

As far as taking a DEF early, I like having one of the top 3 and if I can get the best one early, I cant pass that up even if it is in the 6th or 7th round.

Any other tips? Lat year I was 1st pick and finished 2nd so, Im kinda try to do some more research. I had it easy my first time.

I would def go RB first if there is a big time back still available. Might not be 1 there with the 12th pick. If not go with a WR. is your 2nd pick the 3rd pick in the 2nd round? If so a good qb should still be left.

How did you like the results of that? No need to rattle off player's name in a list, but did you get some top guys.

Im working on creating sectioned off lists on paper.

that's kind of what I was getting at

I see what your saying. So I should be able to gamble on getting a top 5 QB since Im picking pretty early in the 3rd round?

I'll look at that.

I think it's ok. Starters are Cutler at QB, Jackson and Benson at RB, WR corps of Housh, Fitz, Ward, Cooley at TE, Bironas kicking and 49ers as my DST.

why would you be picking early in round three? wouldn't you be picking 12th again?

Allright, Ive broken down the sets for each position. With any luck, I'll be able to get a top 10 QB, RB/Wr, within the first three rounds. The pain is all the studs have week 7 off. Im halfway considering trying to link Palmer and OchoCinco with in my forst 3 picks.

Any thoughts on that? What Im running into is wanting to avoid having garbage on the feild during week 7-8.
