2nd all time in UT rushing yards and 3rd all time in all purpose yards...He was pretty good.

Never said anything about his production while at UT. The way he has conducted himself after his time here stands out more to me.

I played basketball, football, baseball, & tennis in high schools years ago. My # in football was 29. My # in basketball was 10. My number in baseball was #15.

My favorite Vol himself of all-time is Peyton Manning but he wore #16. I know Eric Berry at KC now wears #29 but was #14 at UT. I'm trying to think of a #29 at UT in football from the past 25+ years since that was my football #29. What # did Inky Johnson wear? If it's #29 for him then no doubt it would be him.

I'll have to go back through the rosters thru the years to find someone. Or, if somebody knows of a #29 that played for UT post to let me know some names. Thanks!

Not to derail your thread, but I am of the opinion that Tennessee should reserve #11 for kickers. If and when a PK achieves a certain level of accuracy and performance, the team awards them the #11 jersey (Eleven ~ It's good!). The PK wears #11 as long as they maintain the level of excellence.

Not to derail your post, but wtf?

John Jelly Kelly, Donte Stallworth

Can't think of many Vols that wore #4...

You missed 2 of our best kickers and 3 pretty good receivers in Cleveland, Faulkner and Gerald Jones.

#11 Joey Kent then Josh Dobbs and Justin Hunter. Funny story, I liked number 11 in High school cuz of former Vol James Banks. Too bad he never panned out.

When I was a little boy and first introduced to VOLS football by my Uncle, I thought Bobby Majors #44 was the greatest football player ever. From a sentimental aspect, my favorite is ole #44.

I don't remember big John Henderson wearing #4. I thought he started with #1 b/c that's the number he wore in high school. He then gave it to Witten and took #99. This shows my age but I remember Randy Wallace being #8.
