All I read about is "Oh, how I wish it was the 90's again".........."Remember how great the 90's teams were" etc.

Stop living in the past and focus on what is going to happen in the FUTURE. You guys have a great core of talented young players who will start to gel, and you have a good recruiting class so far being put together for 2011.

Your coaching staff will have their legs under them after this year and then the sky is the limit for the Vols.

You read some of the posts on here and it's like you guys are 3-9 every year and ignore the talent and the future.

Stay the course!

I agree, we have a lot to be excited about and shouldn't focus on the past.

The past is fun to remember but not dwell on.

9-3 or 10-2 next year I feel it!

waco,

if you've been on a gator board recently you hear the same stuff.

exactly what do you expect a fan base to look and sound like considering how they have suffered. and it is suffering.

they've had two wins in the last 4 years worth a crud. i'd be looking for a bridge to jump off of to.

the first time in four seasons, fans have had anything to look forward to and their best players either get injured or kicked out of school. if you had to pick the players not to be lost during the season that would cause the most problems, damn near every one of them has gotten nailed.

i have experienced nothing like this as a gator fan other than the probation of the mid 80's.

It is not "suffering". Suffering is a military wife seeing the blue suits show up at her door with a folded flag.

People need to get over equating football losses to "suffering, hardship, and pain".

I am sick of those ridiculous comparisons about what is important. Football is NOT as important as we pretend to make it.

Pretty much. The players they really couldn't afford to lose they lost. That's been Tennessee's luck for several years now. Maybe one day the black cloud will leave.

I think that is the main source of frustration. I understand everyone hates making excuses, but we've probably lost our 4 most important players in Janzen, Bray, Hunter, Lathers. What could've been an 8-4 or 7-5 season is now looking like another 6-6 season.

I can't wait to say this same thing to you in a few years when everyone has realized Muschamp is a delusional assclown and Gator fans want to fire him.

oh, waco cut the bull.

you know the context with which the statement is made.

i would never compare watching my sports team lose games to life and death. that's horse****.

if it hurts your sensitivities that much, get off your computer and go volunteer time at a homeless shelter or pound nails for habitat for humanity.

For a lot of people it's human nature to be negative, it's the reason there are so many negative stories on the news and in politics, people are drawn to the bad in the world. This fan base is no different than any other, see Alabama a few years ago.

Naw, we won't get to that point. I like him and we'll be fine.

See how easy it is to support your coach in transition? it isn't that hard.

I think we still have a good chance at 7-5. Simms will lead us to victory in one of the next 3.

Football might not be important to you but that's not for you to decide how important it is to someone else. Football is VERY important!

Maybe so, but if football is more important to you then what is going on in this country, or those type of real-life situations people find themselves in, you are delusional.
