I don't know about everyone else, but after what Butch Jones has managed to do since being hired, my expectations are very high.

No, he has not signed any 5* guys yet, but we have a good shot at the number 2 player in the land (Rivals), we are still in on the top running back, we are still in on a top WR, we stole one from Vandy (many may laugh, but right now we are losing to them more than we are winning. I do not expect that situation to last long now.), we have taken a commitment in Florida, etc. This, with only about 8 days on the road thus far.

I know we will not win all the battles this recruiting season, but Jones is already building relationships for 2014. If he is anywhere near as active in the coming month, I think expectations for the coming year should start to soar. I know recruiting does not equal on-the-field coaching, but if he is doing everything else right, I would tend to believe that he is going to get that right as well.

I am guessing that we end up with about a top 12 class this year, and a top 5 class next year. Am I being overly optimistic (as usual) or do you agree? Flame away.

none zero. might sign a top 28 class. should be able to get another 8 3 star players to fill out roster.

Top 25 should be expected and top 15 would show we have an exellent recruiting staff with great potential for the future.

I'm worried that we're going to finish second for a lot of these big-time kids that we're recruiting. With the possible exception of North, every top guy on our board has to be considered a lean somewhere else at this point. Green to Michigan, Bell to Bama or OSU, Lawson to Auburn, Kamara to Bama or UGA. We were never really in it for Ramsey, and we got in too late on Collins.

I like what Butch Jones has done in his first month on the job, but for this class I think he was just facing too much of an uphill battle to pull some of these elite guys. I think he has a lot of '14 kids watching UT closely, though, and with a solid season we could be pretty happy as a fanbase going into NSD next year.

Coaching staff, pack your bags, hit the road. don't take no for an answer, work your butts off to sign a top recruiting class. You have a great product to sell.

I don't really care where we land "class ranking" wise. If we get a game changer at RB, a couple good WRs, some talent we can redshirt on the OL, a head hunter or 2 on the DL, and some speed guys in the back 7, I think we will be fine. If CBJ can fill needs I don't care if the class ranks #42.

I give Jones and staff credit. Atleast they are going after some big fish. You can't get any if you don't go after them! We may or may not land 1 or 2 but I don't think you can fault him if he doesn't.

Butch Jones may be considered a no name when it comes to big time football...........however, he is working his butt off and giving his all for Tennessee. I will support him all the way as long as he gives it his all. I feel much more confident with him than I did Dools. And I supported Dools as long as I possibly could. At least Jones has a proven track record and not just depending on his last name !!!!!

It would be a miracle for UT to get into the top 25 recruiting rankings. We have 16 current commits. Only 4 of those are 4-stars, and Jason Carr is wavering. We need probably 9-10 commits. At least 4 of those would need to be in the top 250. We are currently ranked 46th. We can take 27 commits.

If he lands Green, then we will be ok. I think he'll get some ok kids to stop our blood loss in the secondary. Sound coaching can make up for a lot (not all) when lacking overall talent. I think we finish 23 overall on Rivals.
