Swap out Henry for Sampson and you have the winning team imo.

7 on 7 is about passing.

Kamara and Sampson in a pro-set running screens and running out into the flat with Hyatt taking the top off, and Price and Patterson getting chunk plays underneath.

How would Willie Gault fare in a 7on7. After all, he was a great fly route runner.

I agree this list is solid:

QB - Peyton/Ice Man
RB - Jamaal Lewis
RB - Reggie Cobb
WR - Stanley Morgan
WR - Larry Sievers/Willie Gault
TE - Jason Witten
C - Cooper Mays

Are we going to do defense and if so who do we put with Reggie White? ;)

QB-Peyton (one of the best QBs in football history, no other answer is acceptable)

RB-Kamara, Charlie Garner (I don’t think they are the top 2 backs we ever had, but in 7 on 7, I think they would be the best)

WR-Hyatt, Cordarrelle, Meachem (speed kills in 7 on 7, Gault is tough to leave off)

TE-Witten (we just have no tight ends even remotely in his class)

QB Clausen-Hooker-Manning
RB Jones-Stephens-Cobb
RB Hardesty-Webb-Garner
WR Seivers-Pickens-Price
WR Kent-Nash-McGee
TE Witten-Wolf
FB Amsler-Howard-Bryson
So we had one of only 7 rbs in NFL history(Jamal Lewis) to run for over 2,000 yards in a season and he's not one of our top 6 of alltime.:)

I like your approach on the backs. As pure running backs I've got Webb/Lewis in that order. For 7 on 7, which is the context of question, I want more proven receiving ability. (and it's not like Kamara/Garner's rushing ability is a liability or anything)

IIRC Webb had precious few receptions here and basically never got the knee back for the NFL. Lewis never had more than 47 receptions in the pros and only got to 30 3 times. Garner hit 91 in '02 and at least 30 5 times. (I see little point in even looking up Kamara's receiving numbers)

Do QBs run any in 7-7 or is it mostly quick passes? I think I would take Hooker or Dobbs paired with Peyton instead of Clausen.
No rushing. All passing.

Was it just me or did Lewis seem different when he came back?

Regardless, he tore it up in the league!
I don't think so, he was just seeing few carries in 98 but averaged 6.6 ypc. Henry and Stephens more than earned their carries

No rushing. All passing.

Can QBs run?

No rushing. All passing.

Then why even have RBs? Can you have 1 QB and 6 receivers (and just call them what ever you want).

Maybe I'd change one of the receivers but for the most part this is my list...solid
I was trying to think structurally instead of just throwing out big names. Peerless is my X WR. Not only is he in the conversation for most talented UT WR but he showed up in big moments. Nash is my Z WR. He was a big target that could kill you vertically. Also had good RAC for a guy his size. Kent is my Slot WR. His production speaks for itself.
