Just curious how some of u guys play for whatever reason. I know my friends & I had a few special rules. Like 2 tee shots off the 1st tee if needed assuming it's not too busy. We using to play 1 mulligan per 9 but that has kinda been phased out. Lastly if u hit a shot OB we play that like a hazard & take a penalty & drop. This is to speed keep the pace of play up.

2 off the first tee and roll it in the fairway. As far as ob goes, you'd better hit a provisional.

Front and back nine mulligan, two off the first tee, grip length gimme, we generally play our out of bounds shots if in a playable lie and not obstructing any other golfers.

The people that live on the golf course have to love that.

Well, we don't play out of peoples' yards. Our normal golf course doesn't have much that is out of bounds, but there are some spots marked that we disregard because a) they don't make any sense and b) one of the course marshalls agrees that they don't make sense. Of course, you have to hit some pretty poor shots to end up in yards anyway.

I don't know about you all but I definitely like getting through a round asap. I play at a quick pace and so do most of my friends that play

Balls come by the dozen for a reason. If you lose one, don't take all day to find it / get over it. (especially if it's a frequent occurence)

we don't play that much but occassionaly we'll get out. Its not uncommn for guys to pay for other guys golf and cart. Business expense write off, ya know. Standing rule goes with that. If you paid for the rest of us, your tab and lunch is covered.

We play every shot counts, lost ball/out of bounds as drop with penalty shot from where it crossed hazard (we don't play provisionals/shot replay), ready golf, and we dress up our lie when not in hazard if desired.

it's perfectly ok to replace your ball with one from the range if making a shot over water :)

We all suck at golf so we are pretty liberal with the rules.
If you hit OB or in water and can find any ball near where yours was lost, you get to play it without penalty.
The "kick wedge" is acceptable to get out of certain death.
If after three tries you can't get it over the water pick up and give yourself a triple for the hole.
If somebody hits into you without yelling, you can step on their ball. Or pick it up and hit it back at them.
If you came home with the same number of balls you left with, it was a good day.

Two off the first tee, roll'em in the fairway, and anything less than a foot is good.

I see a guy roll it anywhere, we're done. Play 'em as they lie and two off the first only if nobody hit any balls prior.
