Hear me complain about a dub. Especially an SEC one. Clearly there are glaring issues on the offensive side, but D and ST played very sound and sometimes it takes that. Now, if we have hopes of winning at bama or vs ga, our O needs to tighten up. It was evident someone had a halftime convo with JM about his size and aggression when running. Looked much better when tucking it. Need more of that if this offense is going to be successful. Everything still there in front of us. GBO! 🍊

On Tn first drive, it was 3rd and I think 9 for a first down, flag is thrown against AM, so it's a free play. But Milton takes off and steps out of bounds about a foot short of the first down marker. Then when Tn went for it on 4th and 2 in the red zone, and again Milton steps out of bounds without much effort to get a 1st down. It's those little things that drive you nuts.

I think he got an ear full on that 3rd and 9 junk. He could have easily gotten the first.

Nothing he could do on the 4th and 2.

He's done that repeatedly.. Then runs a guy over , basically stands over him and taunts him. He's a tough one to figure out..Head scratcher.. His processing speed is way too slow...

Part of the intangibles that Milton appears to lack. Doesn't appear to be willing to bloody his nose a little for the sake of the team. I was screaming at the TV when he pulled up a half yard short on that "free play" in the first quarter. I think the coaches are trying to get him to run more. There were more than a few called quarterback runs in the game today.

Ridiculous he stood over the guy and run his food hole.
First solid attempt to make contact and he acted like he ran 40 yards and scored
Head scratcher is right

These are HUGE things and after 6 yrs of big time football a QB has better instincts.

Easy answer....he simply lacks the situational awareness that makes certain players successful in those clutch situations. He doesn't have "it". Milton just won't be one of those guys who seemingly always comes up with the big play when you need it. He's the kind of guy you just hope can be serviceable and play well enough not to get you beat and that's going to be on the coaching staff going forward. Pretty clear why they've avoided the middle of the field with him. They made a mistake tonight and it almost cost us. One thing they've got to force is Milton running the ball. If he can't make the plays with his arm, he's going to have to use his legs if he wants to keep the job.

Me and my brother were losing it bc of those 2 plays. Almost like he forgets he’s that big and can gain those short yds on size alone.

He wouldn’t have made it. I rewound it several times

Wish I could like this 100 times. I’m still confused why so many on VN remain blind to these truths. Milton seems like a good guy and a respected teammate but when a play starts to break down, he has little instincts. As you said he lacks situational awareness. He must be the best option on our roster so CJH has to figure out a way to maximize Milton’s abilities.

Just think how good we would have been last year with this year’s defense

Yes. For those of us that played sports, a dub is a win. Perhaps, we’ll have more convo’s like this one for you to have the opportunity to learn more. Stick around. 😉
