So you get suspended from your job because you have a run-in with the lady at the tow shop. that's dumb. whatever happened was between her and the tow ho.

She will likely still be paid. ESPN just wants to keep her off the air for a little while until this dies down which is understandable. It may not be anyone's business but it's bad pr anyway you slice it.

Bad pr?

I would love to see some evidence that this has any effect whatsoever on their revenue.

I am special. I'm smart enough to not treat a woman like a piece of meat, especially one in which she's being slammed for treating someone else like crap. Grow up.

I'd take her out to a nice steak dinner, whoo her all night with compliments, take her home for some private time and never. call her. back.

Did I say it effected their bottom line? No but it is bad publicity for one of their on air talent who comes across as both mean spirited and a snob in the video. That's not good.

A week is plenty of time for this to die down. This story will be replaced 50 times in the next week and no one will even remember it.

If they don't want her fired then maybe they shouldn't have shopped the video around for days. Deadspin broke the story and they are about as bottom of the barrel as you can get. The tow company is probably facing backlash. I wouldn't want that company patrolling my property

Sad that we rightfully want to trash the reporter's actions and also that half the posters make sexually harassing comments about her

While I agree with you in principle, I would like clarification of how that is harassment. These comments are made with no effort to bring them to her attention or you know...harass her with them. I just would like to know the line where it turns into harassment and not just a comment.

I'm not saying it's not a shame that anytime a moderately attractive woman is involved in something we get sexual comments like those, but it's not like these were made on social media that she frequents.

Any unwanted sexual innuendo or unwanted talk is considered sexual harassment.

The next woman you randomly cross paths with, tell her that you will sleep with her. See what happens.

It will be a nice experiment for you.

I'm not talking directly to McHenry. There's a difference in making comments to someone and discussing someone in "private" with your buddies.

I apologize we're not all as prude as you and volbill; who've apparently never once joked about sex in your long, esteemed lives.

No. There isn't a difference. And even if there was a difference, VN is FAR from private.

VolNation is about as private as Obama pulling down his pants and taking at dump at a press conference.

Yes, you are right in that discussing such things between you and your buddies in private would not qualify.

But this site is not you and your buddies.

What would you think if I said something lewd on this forum regarding that female in your avatar, who I assume is either your girlfriend, fiance, or wife?

One, McHenry isn't reading this site.

Two, my use of private was quoted, meaning obviously it's not private but since point 1 holds true, McHenry won't know it was ever said, hence private.

Three, if you think my joking about my willingness to sleep with an attractive woman, whom none of us know, is the same as you knowingly and directly talking about my wife, then I worry for the students who are subjected to your teaching skills. However, if you want to say something about my wife go ahead. I don't know you from Adam, will never meet you, can't do anything about you and in the grand scheme of things I don't really care. It's a sports message board, full of testosterone dudes, I don't expect it to be a bastion for morality.

How do you know I'm not Britt McHenry? Or that she doesn't follow this site?

Dude, just stop.

I know. She's an attractive woman. We didn't all need to know that you would hit it though.

Actually, maybe your wife should know about this development.

Tell your wife about this. How you want to hit it!

Report back to us. God, you're such a geek.

We await your next witty reply.

The hit it was a tongue in cheek comment for VolBill who was preaching to everyone about their sexual innuendos. Sorry you took it so seriously.

And a professor calling someone else a geek?
