There's a pretty good chance this is the happiest football related day I've had since I joined this board.

I don't think I've seen you happy since I joined this board, or have anything nice to say. We need a Positive Pete. :eek:lol:

simply b/c of TT leaving?

Hat, who's your choice for OC? (I'm sure you've been asked this already on here, but humor me. thanks)

I'm HAPPY as can be 2 below average coaches gone and more will leave also. Just replace them with winners!!

Cutcliffe is an exceptional QB coach with average play calling. Taylor is just a high energy guy that looks cool on tv, but is actually not that great when it comes down to actually getting into the x's and o's

im not really that upset either, that crap that TT did about trying to use players as leverage for the OC at UT just didnt sit well with me. leave now TT! or rodeo clown or whatever hat decides to call him this hour.

Yes. Given I don't think there's any chance Fulmer moves outside his comfort zone, I'll take Kippy Brown. My preference would be to call Kevin Wilson and some other to gauge their interest before making a decision. That won't happen.

Someone said kippy was off Fulmers list but never gave a link........anyone know??

I saw some info earlier in the day suggesting that he wanted alot of money.

Hat- What are your thoughts on Marrone? Obviously not a cheap hire either...

there's a reason our rbs and wrs improved when taylor was coaching them. i'll leave it at that.
Improved compared to what? Were the running backs as good as they were under Randy Sanders? No. Were the wide receivers as good as they were in '90s? No.

This is a dark day for UT Football. Some of you people have no idea what has happened today and the fallout will last a few years. I have tried to support CPF but today or yesterday or whatever day it was that he did not offer our OC to CTT, is the day I found that he didn't have the future of this program as his priority. Our program lost today and not a football game. We lost a good coach, a good recruiter, a coach the players could look up to and know he could relate to them, not to mention he is a good human being.

Today because CPF was afraid to make a decision, we lost.

Good luck Coach Trooper Taylor

I wanted to give TT a chance at OC, but I believe that Fulmer did what he thought was in the best interest of HIS football team. I respect TT as a coach, recruiter, and person and I believe that he will learn more about being a OC and will be the actual OC at a major university one day.

I stand by my post Tennessee football lost, and this one is 100% because of CPF.

It was 100% because TT had no experiece at OC and Fulmer got burned the last time he tried that. I believe in TT coaching abilities and I am sure the Fulmer does too. He just doesn't believe TT would have been the right fit and time will tell if he was right.
