WHAT IF we beat Florida.Im just wondering what vol fans will be saying then. What if the UCLA game was just a fluke win. I know we played bad from every facet of the game including coaches. Now beleive me I have my negative opinions on the coaches but I also have very good positives. Trust me after the game im still sick to my stomach. I wake up every morning and the first words out of my mouth is GOT DANG WERE IN TROUBLE THIS YEAR. The good news for me is that its starting to not hurt so bad.The point im trying to make is, after the loss all I've heard is fire the entire coaching staff. If we beat florida by good plays-playcalling on both sides and coaching what will volnation be saying then. All im sayin is that we will go from hate the coaches to love the coaches. Thats funny to me.A fluke win to me is no matter how good or bad the game was played the turnout would be the same. You have to give some credit to UCLA defense for changing things up as much as they did. The good positive about that is it will only help Jonathon. I still have faith in this team. When I look at this team as a whole Im still a little excited. You have to admit we do have a lot of talent and honestly we should be a better team than last year. Im not going to drop on the vols yet. I want to see how we play against Florida. We better not get blown out again but depending how the game goes even if we lose by less than a touchdown I think we will be ok this year. Florida has a good team this year with alot of talent. So if we beat Florida i still think we can run the table. What if we just really had a bad game as a whole. If so then im glad it happened early and especially against a non confrence at UCLA.But then again im a Weetard.

didn't bother to read the entire wall of text, but I can tell you that beating UF will make me feel no better about our HC.

You didn't miss anything in the wall and I'm surprised. BPV, I thought that you were a win-loss/for-against Fulmer kinda guy.

Beating florida wont change the fact that in the future UT could (and will) play another game like they did monday night. The UCLA loss is going to be very hard for me to get over.

The blessing is that players on the other hand, put the past behind them and set about getting better very quickly...

We all know college football is a "What have you done for me lately?" type of game. I'm sure we will all be estatic if we pull an upset on UF. But as you know our current coaching staff (not including the new guys) has done nothing but be mediocre. Now i'm not calling for Fulmers head or Clawson'seither. For god sakes it's only his first game calling plays. A lot of the plays he called they just didn't execute for many reasons. But Chavis on the other hand has no excuse why our defense still sucks. He is the one that needs to go IMO!

If we beat Florida....The very next morning Fulmer will get a 15 year extension on his contract.

I know its hard to get over and I feel the same way with the coaching staff. But im a die hard vol fan through and through. Regardless of how many games we win or lose. I may have different opinions or wish we could change some things. But try and put yourself in the coaches position and the pressure they have and not the money they make.

With every win we have this season, I will feel worse and worse about that UCLA loss. Sure I want us to beat everybody, but that everybody included UCLA. Yeah, you can't always win 'em all, but I could have reasoned with a Florida loss better than a UCLA loss. Just my opinion.

What is wrong with holding the coaches accountable for the mistakes that are made?

Why is there a lack of attention to detail?

Love or hate Tressel, his teams would never ever make bone headed special teams mistakes!

poor little multi-millionaire coaches and all that pressure. If it's too much they need to quit! You don't take a job like HC of UT football without expecting a little pressure.

we have the talent to win 10 or 11 games.I dont think we will but we have the talent. What makes me laugh is that Florida spent alot longer time with a bad loss after the michigan. I know it was Michigan but c'mon Florida should have beat them handidly.

are you really bagging on a team that absolutely destroyed us last year?

In order to forgive this loss I need to see an SEC title this year and I don't mean by backing into it. They need to beat Florida,Georgia, and Bama and if they don't do that I will be disappointed.

Sometimes I wish these forums would automatically insert line break tags every so often realizing that a paragraph couldn't possibly be that long and grammatically correct.

I was half expecting to start reading some of the names listed on the War Memorial Wall.

That's the way I'm feeling. Too many second chances already.

That game was just wrong on too many counts.

I like Fulmer as much as the next guy and everyone who's been here more than month or so knows that.

That wasn't fair to these players. They worked too hard this off season to have been dealt the game plan and playcalling they got against UCLA. Our coaches were not even close to being prepared or having the team prepared.

It's been a good ride, CPF, but this just isn't working anymore. Move on... and join the board. You can give the next guy as much heck as you want here.

Change is due--whether this season is the last hoorah for Fulmer should already be decided. Chavis should be done. Give Clawson a few more games. He's the only one I have any sympathy to consider further and it's not based on his stellar first game performance.

Watching utmba93 turn has been kind of sad in a way. Like watching a kid realize that there is no tooth fairy.
