"you just don't lose to Tennessee"

that's alright big brown Beaver teeth Jim earned the right to act like Steve Spurrier this year, but as Derek Dooley punching a hole in the ceiling of the dressing room said the same thing about beating Vandy the year before Franklin's Dores beat us learned ... Ok he never really learned anything.... But they are both gone now- so there. And Steve will soon be retired. Still funny as ever, he just can't back it up anymore. Jim will pay down the road.... Likely for teeth whitening gel

Teeth jokes are awesome til the guy you are making fun of kicks yours out.

The Muschamp ordeal was great too. He beat us 4 straight and still got canned.

We are in an awesome place.

Yes they did and it really sucks that they did.
I'm just saying talk is cheap, after you win, it's been so long since we have won a big game you can't remember you acted and the florida coach is getting his money's worth. When we get back to winning it's just gonna be that much sweeter. Get it together Butch!

If Freak had $1 for every time this has been typed on this site, he'd make Warren Buffet look like a homeless bum.

I wish he had not said this, only because when you do win he'll have given fans plenty of ammo to mock us Gators with. I really don't think the players are all that motivated by this kind of thing. They give their all in this game, regardless of what nuggets the opposition throws out there.

Same with Spurrier. It's for the media and the fans. CJM has a long way to go to earn the right to do that, however.

No....talk is cheap BEFORE the game. After the game is WHEN you're allowed to talk.

It has been a long 10 years. Now, I have to accept that my other alma mater Northwestern, is better, in football, than Tennessee.

Let that sink in, Northwestern is a better football team than Tennessee.........I never thought I would see this day.

Really, when was the last time they beat Florida or bama or Georgia or LSU or auburn that's silly! Get it together Butch!

Talk is cheap anyone can do it, my 7 yr old daughter was talking trash after the game saying how bad the gators are, maybe childish is the word I'm looking for, they won the game by making a lot of plays to finish strong, why cheapen the win by saying what he said. It was a hard fought game that they won, why not build his team up with the win (pumping breaks for ole miss) to act like beating us is no big deal is garbage and he knows that, just trying to stir it up since we won't get another chance to beat them in the swamp for another 2 years.
Get it together Butch!

This is my first season to be part of the nation, it's awesome for sure, i don't know when but, we will beat Florida again and then we can move on to Bama, the good news is we still get our shot at bama this year not too many teams can say that.
Get it together Butch!

I don't know where you guys have been, but that's been the attitude in the SEC since Urban Meyer and others joined the league as coaches when FULMER was here.

We've been outcoached CONSISTENTLY since around 2002.....and everybody who KNOWS ANYTHING about FB really knows it....McElwain just put words to it....

Once again--the Fla teams of the last two years are the worst teams Fla has put on the field in the last 30 years...

But listen guys--expecting our coaches--vaginal as they are--to stand up and admit that they choked in the last two games just ain't gonna happen.

Hopefully--they will LEARN from their mistakes and grow up into quality SEC coaches.

Jancek MUST look at his performance on all of those 4th down calls and feel nothing better than self-loathing.

But--one thing is for sure.....WE MUST sell out to get pressure on the QB or our secondary will get eaten alive by the rest of our SEC competition.

BUTCH and DEBORD must grow a pair an allow Dobbs to throw the ball to the middle of the field...I personally like our commitment to the run in the Fla game...and it was working....but they do need to develop a package to get Dobbs under center and actually take advantage of the talent we have at the TE position.

GO VOLS! :salute:

Well sir--this is one VOLFAN who knows that McElwain is correct....and he has a right to say it since he has observed our coaching mediocrity for several years in the SEC as Bama's OC under Saban....And I don't think he is a jerk or was trying to rub it in or be a jerk in making those comments.

I personally believe that McElwain will prove to be a great hire for ya'll. His players definitely NEVER give up and play hard for him....and he is a fundamentally sound FB coach....he made ALL of the right decisions in that game yesterday.

Congrats for the win. :salute:

I do appreciate his honesty...It should wake all of us up to the prevailing attitude of the majority of coaches in the SEC concerning Tennessee. And hopefully it will motivate Jones and Co....

They are gonna hear a lot of it on the recruiting trail....

GO VOLS!

He's not Spurrier or Meyer yet by any stretch.

But he did uphold that tradition.

It's really sad that our Vols are stacked with all this talent and still find a way to lose. Butch getting beat by a first year coach with a back up QB can't look to good to recruits that's considering Tennessee. All this so called star power is going to waste with Butch and his staff. It's really looking like Butch can't win big games, and he's in over his head in the SEC. The Gators first year coach has already won 2 league games, and really made Butch and his staff look look stupid. It's just really sad to watch our Vols fall apart and lose to the Gators once again. It's really concerning that Butch has looked very bad in two prime time games this year.

Wow.. We are the laughing stock of the SEC..
I'm embarrased... It's sad actually..

Every year is an embarrassment and a new record worst to laugh at. Recruit top 5 and lose. I honestly see our WR's jumping ship for a better team. Recruiting classes are going to be affected once these kids see Jones' bad decisions and horrid offense too.

Well realistically it's "Deep down Tennessee just doesn't let you lose to them" but still a first year SEC head coach just trolled us and we can't do crap about it. Oh well there's always next year..

Very reminiscent of "Tennessee always kicks the s&$t out of Vanderbilt" except we are Candy or Kentucky.

Don't forget he was Sabans OC, he has played y'all many times, probably not just talking about the Gator streak.

I honestly don't know what to say. I've started two threads and abandoned them because it's all been said here 1,000 times already. It is what it is.

Just hope that all the fans who went to the game feel like they were treated well and make it back safely.
