You have turned your back on Tennessee

This is a silly take. You can't really compare fans to coaches/players. You just can't. It means more to the players/coaches because for a season they're investing more into the program than any fan could ever think of contributing. But, by the same token, the players are here today and gone tomorrow. Some will be loyal to the university the rest of their life, some will not. Few of the coaches will. When Pruitt is finished here, he'll point his car south on I-75 towards the Alabama line, hire an agent to put his house on the market, and never look back. The fans, though, were here before all of this, and they'll be here long after all of this. They're paying hard-earned dollars to buy an over-priced place to park their butt on 18 inches of metal, and to buy over-priced hot dogs and watered-down fountain drinks, so that scholarships can be provided to the players and salaries can be be paid to the coaches. Many of them grew up in East Tennessee and have spent all their lives here, and a lot of them are alumni of the university. They damn sure have earned the right to have an opinion about the program.
Thanks for this ,I appreciate you showing me the other side of the coin .

The REASON our football program is the flippin cess pool dumpster trash heap that 95% of you on here do not wish to admit to, that Jeremy Pruitt willingly agreed to revive (and he will) is because of the whiney butt country club mentality that most of you and the higher ups at the University of Tennessee have. we finally have an Athletic Director who knows how to win and a hard nosed ole school football coach who knows how to win and teach and coach the game the right way and won't put up with the Country Club culture and you don't like it and you want to run them off. Go take a long flippin walk else where. You want to win, you gonna have to do it the way Alabama never went away from, the way Tennessee used to be, kick the crap out of the opposing team with hard nosed football, Look WIN LOSE OR DRAW, I AM WALL TO WALL ALL VOL!
If you can't see the difference in the players Pruitt has brought in verses the left overs you are blind. He needs 2 more classes like what he is recruiting. He is working his plan and he is gonna build a winner, a monster. Go Coach Pruitt Go Big Orange.
Ive watched football a long time and ive never once seen a fan opinion throw a pass, score a touchdown, line up incorrrectly on defense or miss a tackle. Maybe its just me.

Seeing you guys calling for coaches players to be dismissed is laughable. These players and coaches have put in more blood, sweat and tears for the University of Tennessee than you ever will. Many of the so called fans here are pathetic. Jeremy Banks, Jauan Jennings and Bryce Thompson are my favorite players on this football team. They earned my respect because of the cruel intentions they play the game of football with. I do not understand why you guys want choir boys on your football team. I really hope the team unites over this with an us against the world mentality and takes it to Georgia.

You not only look the other way but you defend them and their actions with 100% support. You never turn your back on family.

NO. YOU DO. I support Family when it is deserved. In this case it just isn't. THAT is not who I want representing my "Family". If my Brother commits a crime, I will support him while he does the time. I will not brush it off like it's nothing. I will be ashamed of his actions; unlike YOU who treat this as if it's nothing. This episode is worse than going 0-12. This episode indicates that we don't have Good Citizens representing our University. Banks played the part of a Thug. "A drunken man's words are a sober Man's thoughts". He is who he appears to be. He needs to be gone.

I've been a Vols fan for over 30 years of my life. And will be for 30 more. If I've got an opinion regarding our head coach or any player then it's my right to speak about it. And anybody else has the right too.

So it's all about winning; the hell with character? I do NOT want 2-3 more classes like the Character Jeremy Banks at UT. You guys have no sense of Morality. No wonder you feel close to JB. Peas in a pod. I'll check back after 1:00 pm for your response.

I wish I could not watch. I always feel like I’m done but some how can’t help myself but turn on the game. Hell I even watch the entire thing usually looking for a sign of improvement. I wish I could HONESTLY become a fan of another school and root for them, I feel like I’m the source of negative karma. If I could truly become a fan of Alabama I’m positive they would become the laughing stock of college football. Seems like every team I like in various sports/leagues tend to nose dive. Make me nervous to keep following the preds.

LSU is a good alternative. They are enemies of our enemy; They Play Hardnosed Football, EO is a hilarious character, and THEY WIN! Go Tigers! lol

It means more to the fans because for their entire lives and from generation to generation they're investing more into the program than any player, for whom its just a stepping stone to get to "the league", could ever think of contributing.

Sry, im feeling contrary this morning.

Our situation was extremely dire, it will take 4 classes he is into his second, normally 2 to 3 but that is with decent tslent, we did not have a lot of that if any when he got here.
If I'm doing the math correctly, you are saying, 3 years from now we'll have a power house team? Is that the year we at least win the SEC Championship?

They were or are your favorite players im confused? How come all your favorite players get in trouble? How is BT your favorite player, he has barely played.

Is there any ground between choir boy and threatening cops?
-Juan Jennings didn’t have off the field issues if you remember. His issues was a coaching staff that lied to. He has been at UT now going on 5 years and this is only issue he had. No off the field issues.

-Bryce Thompson has played plenty. Do you not remember he was an All American as a freshman and had best rating for incompletion rate. When he is on the field and healthy he is a fame changer just like Jennings. And charges was dismissed against BT, so it appears it wasn’t as serious as first reported.

-Jeremy Banks comments was appropriate to say the least. But if you look at the context in what he says he’s prolly not far from the truth. Cops do get shot at on a regular basis in some parts of Memphis . He didn’t say he shot at cops he simply said cops get shot at in his neighborhood.

Yes we seem to had some bad luck over last couple years with players having some league issues but most colleges do that have similar issues among Power 5 schools. Everything Pruitt has done he had learned from Saban. Get in trouble suspended them for a half or quarter against Kent State. Remember Cam Robinson a few years back. Got caught with s gun and drugs in the vehicle with him. He didn’t have driver licenses, he was high from smoking weed and had an illegal firearm. If anyone should have been dismissed he would survive been a prime candidate for it, but no Saban suspended for a half against a non power 5 school. What happened that same year oh yea I remember he gets drafted in the 1st round. Winning cures everything and if we was 4-0 right now no one would care what they done.

Was Jeremy Banks "giving his all for Tennessee" when he was arrested and harassing the cops. Regardless of how idiotic or "silly" the situation was that is not how you conduct yourself off the field and it hurt the whole program. Im sure Pruitt will handle it and it will eventually go away but his actions show his mindset was to look out for the program it was to look out for himself.

You are in a minority, even banks (with help from someone that can write) has apologized for his INAPPROPRIATE statements and behavior, Banks went on to say, he Respects Law enforcement.... BTW banks is from Cordova, TN, played ball at Cordova HS.
