- You fought through the whole game. Most of you posting during the game gave up when the score was 30-7. Shame on you. Your team fought back brilliantly. I really thought Dooley was a good hire and the improvements between last season and now show that. You may have given up, but the players did not and went on a 17-3 run to end the game.

- I don't know if the officials called a terrible game, or if both teams were that sloppy. There were many non calls, bad calls and good calls. The game wasn't decided on a penalty or by the refs which is good.

- I'm really sorry about the news on Hunter. The kid is a beast and I'd have rather played with him in the game and the Vols at full strength. That was a fluke injury and I wouldn't wish that against even my most hated rivals. I hope he recovers 100% and comes back with a vengeance next year.

- Both teams couldn't hold on to the ball. I don't remember how many dropped balls that would have gone for first downs UT had, but UF had some as well and at least 5-7 interceptions that were dropped too.

- Remember both our teams are young. We both will only get better. The Vols are on the rise again and that should get you guys pumped. You have the chance to watch this team grow before your eyes and rise to a national power. How many fans can say that about their teams?

- The intensity of both Dooley and Muschamp is incredible. We both are going to win many games with our coaching staffs.

Best of luck the rest of the season, my friends. :salute:

Thanks and I agree. Other than the game itself, I had a blast down there in Gainesville this weekend. The fans were not that bad at all nor what I expected. Bama fans still hold the spot up top for rudest fan base.

Totally agree with this. It's going to be an exciting time for both of our schools.

No we aren't. I wish you Gators would quit trying to make yourselves feel better about why you couldn't put us away. It is because you aren't that good, not because we have made some huge leap.

Go to your Gator boards and teach the others how to be like you. I usually enjoy your posts Friendly Gator. I guess we did go on a 17-3 run. It is easy to look over that when you lose a game you wanted so badly. Thanks!

Easy to say this **** when you are riding a 7 game streak....

I find the OP extremely condescending. UT has had down time for the last 5 years, its like a bully beating the snot out of somebody, then saying "you looked really good trying".

Maybe your intentions were in the right place, I don't know, but I find nothing classy about the OP minus the bit about Hunter.

Where is that A-Hole LAWGATOR who tried to temper expectations by saying that Florida really was a "young" team and "no depth" and were at the "same level" talent-wise as UT???

In all honesty, I don't like Muschump. I can see Florida getting better defensively, but who are the playmakers next year with their studs gone??

Dang man, I think I like you better than most of the so-called Vol fans on here. Good post.

Losing 7 in a row to your Gators is all the shame I need.

Worst thing that happened to me down there, other than the loss, was a drunk-ass Vol fan puked on my friend and me. It was absolutely repulsive. Then, my friend (who got the most of it), stands up to avoid the puke and the guy said, "Would you mind sitting down?" LOL I thought my friend was gonna throw him down about 30 rows. Then the cops came and took that guy out. Most entertaining thing of the day! :) But all in all, thanks for the post, FG.

The talent level is still there at Florida. Meyer left the cupboard full. What did Dooley get? The Snake said he left the program in better shape than when he got it. Ha! Half of his recruiting class is already gone. The best thing he left us was Bray and Dooley worked to keep him. Same thing happened with Auburn. Tubby left talent. Fulmer left us nothing. Dooley is working hard to rebuild. It will take him another 3 to 4 years to get it where it needs to be... if the fans are patient.

I'm tired of the word "patience" being thrown around. I know this team needs time, but we've all been hearing this since the conclusion of that horrendous 2005 season. Just when we feel a little bit better about ourselves, we lose one of our best players on a freak injury and get smacked for the seventh straight season by a team that probably just laughs at this program now.

FG you're almost too nice and make too much sense to be a gator fan

The fact that a gator fan can see more objectively than some of my fellow vol fans doesn't surprise me. It actually f'n disgusts me!
