You don't want shannon

Then you sir are in my target audience!

From the 2008 Miami media guide...should we be concerned that Shannon had them print both a front view and a side view of the players? hmmmm...

Actually, I am a girl. I meant that as an insult to your lovely ladies. :) It's all good. I meant it in jest and I know how much it pleases you to look at them. And to answer your question, no, I am not concerned. I bet he can give us a 360 view of the defense...ON THE FIELD.

Miami has never beat anyone with schemes or coaching on the defensive side of the ball.

They are traditionally as vanilla as it gets. They play a base 4-3, man underneath with two safeties over the top since man discovered fire.

They never back out of it. Ever. No matter how well you run the ball, they dont drop an 8th guy in the box. They rarely blitz.

They just challenge you and dictate their guys are bettee than your guys, except when they aren't. When they have had extraordinary talent, you are helpless. When they haven't, their defenses are relatively easy to pick apart because they dont fool anyone.

You could have made a game plan in 2006 from film in 1986the and you would have been prepared.

Just my two cents before anything happens

Essentially vanilla is what you want in NCAA ball with all the NCAA rules restricting time with student athletes. This is not the NFL where each team comes into each week's game with 24-30 schemed coverages where most college teams have four.

If you begin to overcomplicate matters you end up putting kids in a position of making mental mistakes and ultimately being hesitant.

BTW, calling him vanilla is racist, imo.

IMO that's what we need. Scheme simple and play fast. Use the talent we are recruiting, just line up and hit 'em in the mouth!

With personnel rumored to be coming, we would lose in that scenario to Alabama, South Carolina and probably Georgia. That is it. That would be a fine season for me.

It would be nice to see Shannon's UT defense against your (insert any name here) flavor of the month offensive co.:finger3:

Thanks. Now, you can take that and 2 more bucks and buy you a coke. But its understandable for a gayter fan to be against us improving, since you only beat our worst team ever by ten points this past September.
